The story of Zeta Gundam is told through the viewpoint of Kamille Bidan, a civilian teenager and amateur mobile suit pilot whose parents are engineers working for the Earth Federation and the Titans.

As the continuation of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, this series once again follows the story of the Anti Earth Union Group ( AEUG ) battleship Argama after Mobile Suit Zeta Gundams final episode.

The plot places the story of this series in a war in which Gundam tournaments are held to determine who shall govern all the space colonies ; a set of 7 rules known as " articles " which are used for controlling each Gundam fight and the Gundam Fighters themselves.
