Other running gags included Fleegle repeatedly hitting himself by accident with his oversized gavel.

A " double whammy " could fell a skyscraper, leaving Fleegle exhausted.

Evil-Eye Fleegle and his " whammy " make an animated cameo appearance in the U. S. Armed Forces Special Weapons Project training film, Self Preservation in an Atomic Attack ( 1950 ).

For the latter, he played the character Dick Dastardly in multiple series ( notably Wacky Races and Dastardly and Muttley in their Flying Machines ); Clyde and Softy on The Perils of Penelope Pitstop ; and Fleegle on The Banana Splits Adventure Hour, and Gargamel on The Smurfs.
