In the fall of 1980, she transferred to Vanderbilt University, where she was a member of the sorority Kappa Alpha Theta.

In 1931, Kelly enrolled at the University of Pittsburgh to study economics where he joined the Phi Kappa Theta fraternity.

She graduated from Lee in 1964 and went on to attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta.

Lambda, Mu, Xi, Nu, Gamma, and Alpha Ceti represented its head ; Omicron, Zeta, and Chi Ceti represented its body ; Eta Eri, Tau Cet, and Upsilon Cet marked its legs and feel ; and Theta, Eta, and Beta Ceti delineated its tail.

Adderley was initiated as an honorary member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia fraternity ( Gamma Theta chapter, University of North Texas, ' 60, & Xi Omega chapter, Frostburg State University, ' 70 ) and Alpha Phi Alpha ( Beta Nu chapter, Florida A & M University ).

That chapter, the Beta of Skull and Bones, became independent in 1872 in a dispute about control over creating additional chapters ; the Beta Chapter reconstituted itself as Theta Nu Epsilon.

On February 7, 2011, Ifill was made an Honorary Member of Delta Sigma Theta during the sorority's 22nd Annual Delta Days in the Nation ’ s Capital.

Most of Theta Kappa Nu ’ s chapters had been previously established at small, private colleges as local fraternities.

With the help from Maud Jones and Frances Yancey Smith ’ s brothers — Plummer Jones, a member of Kappa Alpha Order and Phi Beta Kappa member at the College of William and Mary, and Giles Mebane Smith, a Phi Theta Psi and Phi Beta Kappa member also at the College of William and Mary — the girls worked to form their Greek-letter organization.

Some do not conform on a chapter by chapter basis such as Theta Tau ( engineering ), for instance at schools like NCSU where an equivalent female organization exists, or Sigma Alpha ( agriculture ), which also has collegiate chapters that have joined their respective women ’ s Panhellenic Councils on campuses in order to stay female only.

As a multicultural sorority, Sigma Theta Psi embraces each sister ’ s differences and individuality.

Theta Serpentis also has the traditional name Alya, or Alga, from the Arabic الية ’ alyah " fat tail ( of a sheep )".
