In the summer of 2010, McKean took over the role of the Stage Manager in Thornton Wilder's Our Town at the Barrow Street Playhouse in New York's Greenwich Village.

The council is responsible for enacting most village laws, approving capital expenditures, and hiring the Village Manager.

The Village Manager is in charge of managing the day-to-day functions of the village.

Construction took 14 months and was paid for but not with property tax dollars according to Village Manager Dieterich.

Many of the day to day activities that were handled by the mayor were now being handled by the Village Manager.

The Village Board of Trustees hires the Village Manager ( according to ordinance re-establishing the position in 2011 ), Treasurer, Police Chief, Fire Chief, Public Works Superintendent, other Village Department Heads and members of Committees and Commissions with the " advice and consent " of the Village Board of Trustees.

In 1988, after choosing not to seek re-election for mayor, Edward Paesel and the Village Board of Trustees approved an Ordinance establishing a position of Village Manager.

Richard " Dick " Dieterich, had served as the Village's only Village Manager from 1988 to 2009.

The Village Manager handled the administrative function of the village according to Ordinance passed in 1988.

The Ordinance was changed when incoming Mayor Tower's designated a Chief of Staff position to replace the Village Manager position, and was repealed by the Village Board in May, 2010.

The Village Board of Trustees re-instated the Village Manager's position in June, 2011 and hired Dieterich as interim Village Manager until a permanent replacement was hired.

Henrietta Turner takes over as the manager or administrator of the Village.

The Village of Turner is located within the township.

Turner Hall, Bishop Hall, Lewis Hall, Martin Hall, Lynch Hall, University Village, and Mesquite Village West house approximately 2, 300 students in a shared or private dormitory environment.

Prior to Black 47, Kirwan and fellow Wexfordian Pierce Turner were the house band in Malachy McCourt's Bells of Hell in Greenwich Village.

Village resident and cultural icon Bob Dylan by the mid-60s became one of the foremost popular songwriters in the world, and often developments in Greenwich Village would influence the simultaneously occurring folk rock movement in San Francisco and elsewhere, and vice versa.

Greenwich Village was also home to one of the many safe houses used by the radical anti-war movement known as the Weather Underground.
