* February 17 – Second Battle of St Albans, England: The Earl of Warwick's army is defeated by a Lancastrian force under Queen Margaret, who recovers control of her husband.

The recorded signals were used to control a robot arm developed by Warwick's colleague, Peter Kyberd and was able to mimic the actions of Warwick's own arm.

At the confrontation which became known as the Battle of Ludford, some of Warwick's contingent from the garrison of Calais, led by experienced captain Andrew Trollope, defected overnight.

Warwick's troops from Calais refused to fight, and the rebels fled – York to Ireland, Warwick, Salisbury and York's son Edward to Calais.

Warwick's ( possibly inadvertent ) return to Calais also proved fortunate.

While Richard was at Warwick's estate, he developed a close friendship with Francis Lovell, which would remain strong for the rest of his life.

Another child in the household was Warwick's daughter Anne Neville, whom Richard would later marry.

Richard was then sent to Warwick's estate at Middleham for his knightly training.

In 2002, as part of Kevin Warwick's Project Cyborg, Warwick's wife, Irena, wore a necklace which was electronically linked to Warwick's nervous system via an implanted electrode array.

This time, Edward was forced to flee when he learned that Warwick's brother, John Neville, 1st Marquess of Montagu, had also switched to the Lancastrian side, making Edward's military position untenable.

Warwick's daughter, Anne Neville, was married to Margaret's son Edward, Prince of Wales, in order to cement the alliance, and Margaret insisted that Warwick return to England to prove himself before she followed.

In 1469, she was briefly betrothed to George Neville, son of John Neville, Earl of Northumberland, who initially supported Edward IV against his brother Warwick's rebellion.

Warwick's efforts to return Henry VI to the throne ultimately failed and Warwick was killed in battle.

Margaret harboured suspicions about Warwick's motives, particularly since Anne's sister, Isabella, was married to the reigning king's brother, George, Duke of Clarence.

Prince Edward was betrothed to Warwick's younger daughter Anne.

Other Lancastrian forces could be relied upon to distract King Edward ; in particular, a fleet under Warwick's relation, the Bastard of Fauconberg, was preparing to descend on Kent where the Nevilles and Warwick in particular had always been popular.

Warwick's alternative plan was to replace the king with his fellow conspirator, the Duke of Clarence, Edward's younger brother.

Because most Yorkist-aligned warlords refused to rally to Warwick's call, the earl was pressured to release the king.

In 2002, an implant was interfaced directly into Warwick's nervous system.

The signals produced were detailed enough that a robot arm was able to mimic the actions of Warwick's own arm and provide a form of touch feedback again via the implant.

“ The dramatic shifts in political fortune between 1469 and 1471, and their impact on the tangled networks of affinity and allegiance, are hard to unravel .” When Warwick, fleeing before Edward in 1470, made his way to Manchester in the hope of support, Stanley was not forthcoming, but on Warwick's return he lent him armed support in the restoration of the House of Lancaster and of Henry VI.

A plot between Warwick and Warbeck for Warwick's escape was alleged, and Warwick was beheaded for treason.

Catherine was said to feel very guilty about Warwick's death, and that her trials in later life were punishment for it.

It was here that Yorkist troops led by King Edward IV killed the rebellious " Kingmaker " Richard Neville, Earl of Warwick and Warwick's brother, John Neville, 1st Marquess of Montagu.

A significant event in Warwick's late 20th century history was the arrival of the Brotherhood of the Spirit Commune, which remained in the area through the 1960s and into the 1970s.

The family was composed of Nitcholas " Nitch " Drinkard, and Delia Drinkard, Warwick's grandparents, and their children: William, Lee ( Warwick's mother ), Marie " Rebbie " ( Warwick's namesake ), Hansom, Anne, Larry, Nicky, and Emily " Cissy " ( who is the mother of Warwick's late cousin, Whitney Houston ).

Also, in 1958, Warwick, Myrna Utley, Carol Slade, and Warwick's sister Delia, who by this time had begun to be known professionally as Dee Dee Warwick, formed their own group, which they called " The Gospelaires.

Richard of York, his brother in law Richard Neville, 5th Earl of Salisbury ( Warwick's father ) and Warwick himself feared that they would be arrested for treason if they went to their opponents ' heartland, and refused to attend.

Today Guy of Warwick's Sword can be seen at Warwick Castle.

Although they posed no immediate threat to Warwick's own power, Warwick resented the influence this group had over the King and, with the aid of Edward's disaffected younger brother George, Duke of Clarence, Warwick led an army against Edward.

When Elizabeth's relatives, especially her brother, Anthony Woodville, 2nd Earl Rivers, began to challenge Warwick's pre-eminence in English political society, Warwick conspired with his son-in-law, the Duke of Clarence, the king's younger brother.

Edward meanwhile reversed Warwick's policy of friendship with France by marrying his sister Margaret to Charles the Bold, the Duke of Burgundy.

With no hope of a reconciliation with King Edward, Warwick's best hope of regaining power in England lay in restoring Henry VI to the throne.

Eligible bachelors were paired with the Woodville females, narrowing the marriage prospects for Warwick's daughters.

About 3, 000 rebels are thought to have been killed at Dussindale, with Warwick's army losing some 250 men.

Following the death of Richard, Duke of York at Wakefield in December 1460, his younger sons, George, Duke of Clarence and Richard, Duke of Gloucester, came into Warwick's care, and both lived at Middleham with Warwick's own family.

While she was performing background on The Drifters's recording of " Mexican Divorce ," Warwick's voice and star presence were noticed by the song's composer, Burt Bacharach, a Brill Building songwriter who was writing songs with many other songwriters, including lyricist Hal David.

Warwick's final Bacharach / David penned single was March 1971's " Who Gets the Guy " and her final " official " Scepter single release was " He's Moving On " backed with " Amanda " both from the soundtrack of the motion picture adaptation of Jacqueline Susann's The Love Machine.

Of note was a reunion with the original Shirelles on Warwick's cover of " Will You ( Still ) Love Me Tomorrow?

A duet with Jeffrey Osborne, it was also written by Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager, and it was featured in Warwick's album Reservations for Two.

1994 marked the end of Warwick's contract with Arista Records.

A followup album featuring Warwick's old hits as duets with male vocalists was planned but the project was cancelled.

Gloucester's death in particular is associated with the physical, as seen in Warwick's detailed description of the body ;

Similarly, Warwick's later actions in the play, as he himself acknowledges, have nothing to do with ensuring Henry remain king, but are based wholly on his personal feelings towards Edward ; he is more concerned with bringing down the House of York than elevating the House of Lancaster.

In Act 3, Scene 3, Oxford and Prince Edward's speculations as to the contents of the newly arrived letters is absent ( ll. 167 – 170 ), as is Warwick's reference to Salisbury's death and the incident with his niece, " Did I forget that by the House of York / My father came untimely to his death ?/ Did I let pass th ' abuse done to my niece " ( ll. 186 – 188 ).
