McCormick the paper was strongly isolationist and actively biased in its coverage of political news and social trends, calling itself " The American Paper for Americans ," excoriating the Democrats and the New Deal, resolutely disdainful of the British and French and greatly enthusiastic for Chiang Kai-shek and Sen. Kaypro published and subsidized ProFiles: The Magazine for Kaypro Users, a monthly, 72-page, four-color magazine that went beyond coverage of Kaypro's products to include substantive information on CP / M and MS-DOS ; frequent contributors included Ted Chiang, David Gerrold, Robert J. * Robert Brasillach ( 1909 – 1945 ), fascist author and journalist, executed for advocating collaboration with Nazi Germany during World War II.
