As part of his efforts to bring Japan into Barbarossa, on 1 July 1941, Ribbentrop had Germany break off diplomatic relations with Chiang Kai-shek and instead recognized the Japanese-puppet government of Wang Jingwei as China's legitimate government.

By January 1944, Germany had diplomatic relations with only a handful of countries: Argentina, Ireland, Vichy France, the Salo Republic in Italy, Occupied Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Switzerland, the Holy See, Spain, Portugal, Turkey, Thailand, Japan, and the Japanese puppet states of Manchukuo and the Wang Jingwei regime in China.

He also joined another revolutionary organisation, The Society for the Study of Wang Fuzhi ( Chuan-shan Hsüeh-she ) which had been founded by a number of Changsha literati who wished to emulate Wang Fuzhi ( 1619 – 1692 ), a philosopher who had become a symbol of Han resistance to Manchu invasion.

His grandfather, Zhang Kan, had been governor of a commandery, and one of the leaders who supported the restoration of the Han Dynasty by Emperor Guangwu ( r. 25 – 57 ), following the death of the usurper Wang Mang and his short-lived Xin Dynasty ( AD 9 – 23 ).

* 1093: when the Chinese Empress Dowager Gao dies, the conservative faction that had followed Sima Guang is ousted from court, the liberal reforms of Wang Anshi reinstated, and Emperor Zhezong of Song halted all negotiations with the Tanguts of the Western Xia, resuming in armed conflict with them.

* The Chinese scholar and printer Hua Sui invents bronze-metal movable type printing in China, although the earlier Wang Zhen had experimented with tin movable type in 1298 and the Koreans had separately innovated bronze movable type.

Although, this belief and dream interpretation had been questioned since early time, such as by the philosopher Wang Chong ( 27-97 ).

Zhang, Yao and Wang were party leaders in Shanghai who had played leading roles in securing that city for Mao during the Cultural Revolution.

The other two members were Zhou Enlai, who retained his position as Director of the Commission, and Wang Jiaxiang, whose support Mao had enlisted earlier ,.

Mahayana Buddhism influenced Fan Zhongyan and Wang Anshi through its concept of ethical universalism, while Buddhist metaphysics had a deep impact upon the pre – Neo-Confucian doctrine of Cheng Yi.

Fearing that the restless soldiers would cause damage to his estates in Yuzhou, Wang Zhen decided to strike northeast and return by the same exposed route as they had come.

The New Party was aided by former Finance Minister Wang Chien-shien and former Environmental Protection Administration Director Chao Shaokong, who had charismatic and clean images.

She allied herself with Wang Hongwen and propaganda specialists Zhang Chunqiao and Yao Wenyuan, forming a political clique later pejoratively dubbed as the " Gang of Four ".

Other Whampoa leaders include Wang Jingwei and Hu Hanmin as political instructors.

After Sun's death Wang engaged in a political struggle with Chiang Kai-shek for control over the Kuomintang, but lost.

The New York Times reported that political prisoner Wang Xiaoning and other journalists had brought a civil suit against Yahoo for allegedly aiding and abetting the Chinese government which, it was claimed, resulted in torture that included beatings and imprisonment.

In addition to his political achievements, Wang Anshi was a noted poet.

He attacked Peng and those who shared his political opinions as " imperialists " " bourgeoisie ", and " rightists ", and associated their positions with other Communist leaders who had led failed oppositions to Mao's leadership, including Li Lisan, Wang Ming, Gao Gang, and Rao Shushi.

Also in 1 BC, Wang, now in power, took drastic action to attack actual or perceived political enemies:

* Wujiang Long ( 毋將隆 ), the governor of the Nan Commandery ( roughly modern Hubei ), who had rejected Wang Mang's advances to serve as a political ally, was falsely accused of having falsely accused the innocent Princess Dowager Feng Yuan of Zhongshan of witchcraft in 6 BC, and he, along with the real coconspirators against Princess Dowager Feng, were exiled.

" Wang had his political allies force Grand Empress Dowager Wang to issue an edict granting him the title of " Acting Emperor " ( 假皇帝 ), with the commission to rule as emperor until a great-great-grandson of Emperor Xuan could be selected and raised.

Su Shi was often at odds with a political faction headed by Wang Anshi.

For example, although the prominent scientist and statesman Shen Kuo ( 1031 – 1095 ) was one of Wang Anshi's most trusted associates and political allies, Shen nonetheless befriended Su Shi and even collaborated with him in compiling the pharmaceutical treatise of the Liang Fang ( 良方 ; Good medicinal formulas ).

* In the Later Three Kingdoms period of Korean history, Wang Geon ( later Taejo of Goryeo Dynasty ) occupied the Naju area, which was then part of Later Baekje Kingdom and came to become large base of his political support.

* Wang Nam Yen – This was the most notorious faction, led by the veteran political power-broker, Sanoh Thienthong, a former Interior Minister who held the title of Chief Advisor to the Thai Rak Thai Party.

Discontented with the lack of morals during this time, a group of scholars and political activists loyal to Zhu Xi and against Wang Yangming, created the Donglin Movement, a political group who believed in upright morals and tried to influence the government.

However, in January 1927, Wang Jingwei and his KMT leftist allies took the city of Wuhan amid much popular mobilization and fanfare.

Zhou Enlai died on 8 January 1976, at a time when Deng Xiaoping's moderate alliance was not yet strong enough to stand up to both the ailing Mao Zedong and his Cultural Revolution allies, the Gang of Four ( Jiang Qing, Zhang Chunqiao, Wang Hongwen, and Yao Wenyuan ).

He and another close associate of Li Song's, Wang Shuwen, became friends and allies.

In fall 805, knowing that he and his allies were near defeat, Wang Pi claimed to have suffered a stroke and no longer attended to governmental matters.

His most powerful allies were his father's friend, Kereyd chieftain Wang Khan Toghoril, and Temujin's childhood anda ( blood brother ) Jamukha of the Jadran clan.

In order to appease his wartime allies, he gave each of them a piece of land as their own " kingdom " ( Wangguo ) along with a title of Wang.

Yin, hearing of Wang Gong's death, was in fear but considered proceeding anyway — and Sima Daozi, under suggestion by Huan Xuan's cousin Huan Xiu ( 桓脩 ), managed to cause dissension between Yin and his generals Huan Xuan and Yang Quanqi ( 楊佺期 ) by offering Huan and Yang key posts ; although Huan and Yang nominally remained Yin's allies, Yin was forced to withdraw his troops, and from that point on no longer posed a major threat, as his domain had now been divided into three, with Huan and Yang each given a third.

Several months later, Temüjin, with his allies Wang Khan and Jamuha, rescued her from her captors.
