In 1505 the monastery was joined with that of St. Justina of Padua.
St. Justina, a patroness of Padua and Venice, is at the right with the Blessed Virgin Mother and the Christ child in the center.

In 1605 he joined the Benedictine Order at the Abbey of St Justina, Padua, taking the religious name " Augustine ", but ill health obliged him to postpone his religious profession, and he returned home to find his father on the point of death.
