In 1953, when Muhammad was deposed by the French for nationalist agitation and replaced by his uncle, Sidi Muhammad bin Moulay Arafa, the colonial authorities decided to keep al-Muqri in his position.

Jajouka is an ancient village perched above a long valley in the blue Djebala foothills of the Rif Mountains in Northern Morocco, home to the Master Musicians of Jajouka as well as the Sanctuary of Saint Sidi Ahmed Sheikh, who was a Muslim missionary, teacher of Moulay Abdesalem " The Patron Saint of Morocco ", and whose spiritual energy is closely tied with the village and its music.

A major centre of popular and amateur theater, it is home to important specialists of Andalusian classical music ( Moulay Benkrizi ), Chaabi ( Maazouz Bouadjadj, Habib Bettahar ), masters of traditional Bedouin music ( Sheikh Hamada, Sheikh Djilali Ain Tedeles ) and poets such as Sheikh Abdelkader Bentobdji and Sidi Lakhdar Benkhelouf who are authors of well-known qacidates of Malhun poetry bequeathed as much to the Chaabi legacy as to Bedouins such as Abdelkader ya Boualem.

Shaykh Tijani took the Khalwatiya from him and was reinitiated into it by the leading teacher in Cairo, Sidi Mahmoud al-Kurdi al-Iraqi al-Misri ( d. 1771 )— another teacher of the Fasite Sidi Abul Mawahib Abdelwahhab Tazi ( d. 1783 ; direct heir of Moulay Abd al-Aziz Dabbagh on whom Kitab al-Ibriz was written ; d. 1717 ).

Notable exceptions are the octagonal minaret located in Chefchaouen and the round minaret located in Moulay Idriss.

In 789 arrived in Walīla, the site of the Roman Volubilis where he founded the town of Moulay Idriss near the hill of Zerhoun surrounding the native Berber tribes.

Idris is buried in Moulay Idriss.

They had two children: a daughter, Lalla Soukaïna Filali ( 1986 -) and a son, Moulay Idriss Filali ( 1988 -).

After visiting the shrine of Moulay Idriss al-Azhar ( d. 798 ), Shaykh Tijani went back to Tlemcen and then departed to Qasr Chellala and Boussemghoun.
