Jeanne d ' Évreux ( 1310 – 4 March 1371 ) was the third wife of King Charles IV of France, daughter of his uncle Louis d ' Évreux and Margaret of Artois.

Ars nova refers to a musical style which flourished in France and the Burgundian Low Countries in the Late Middle Ages: more particularly, in the period between the preparation of the Roman de Fauvel ( 1310 – 1314 ) and the death of the composer Guillaume de Machaut in 1377 ( whose poems were a large inspiration for Johannes Ciconia ).

In 1310, he was made Grand Chambrier of France.

As an example, localized famines occurred in France during the fourteenth century in 1304, 1305, 1310, 1315 – 1317 ( the Great Famine ), 1330 – 1334, 1349 – 1351, 1358 – 1360, 1371, 1374 – 1375 and 1390.

Her sister, Margaret ( 1310 – 1382 ), married Louis I, Count of Flanders ( 1304 – 1346 ), and inherited the County of Burgundy after the death of Philip I ; their granddaughter and heiress, Margaret of Dampierre ( 1350 – 1405 ), married the son of John II of France ( 1319 – 1364 ), Philip II, Duke of Burgundy ( 1342 – 1404 ), uniting the two domains once more.
