The second album, Wow / Grape Jam, released in 1968, was generally viewed as a critical and commercial disappointment, even though the album charted at No. 20 on the Billboard Pop Albums charts, partially due to the unusual two albums for the price of one double-album packaging.

The debut album and Wow / Grape Jam were first released on CD during the late 1980s by the San Francisco Sound label, a company owned by their former manager, Matthew Katz.

Flavors include Green Apple, Orange, Cranberry, Raspberry, Citrus ( Lemon ), Vanilla, Strawberry, Black Cherry, Watermelon, Lime, Blueberry, White Grape, Melon ( Honeydew / Cantaloupe ), Pomegranate, Passion Fruit, Pear, Peach, Pineapple, Mango and most recently Coconut, Whipped Cream and Marshmallow.

Stu Francis also did a stand-up routine on occasion, using such catchphrases as " Ooh I Could Crush A Grape / Jump Off A Doll ` s House " etc.

These 48 seven-minute short cartoons were paired with Grape Ape and Mumbly cartoons, to create The Tom and Jerry / Grape Ape Show, The Tom and Jerry / Grape Ape / Mumbly Show, and The Tom and Jerry / Mumbly Show, all of which initially ran on ABC Saturday Morning between September 6, 1975 and September 3, 1977.

The Last James explored The Beatles / Beach Boys sound, releasing three albums, The Last James, Grape, and Kindergarten.

Also some of the worlds biggest bands / groups have played the arena including Kasabian, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Westlife, Take That, Spice Girls, Scissor Sisters, Oasis, Status Quo, Spacehog, Arctic Monkeys, Kiss, Bee Gees, Muse, Green Day, Paramore, blink-182, JLS, The Wanted and Black Grape.

The remaining eleven tracks included collaborations with Johnette Napolitano ( Concrete Blonde ), Michael Hutchence ( INXS ), Debbie Harry ( Blondie ), Andy Partridge ( XTC ), Shaun Ryder ( Happy Mondays / Black Grape ) and others.

Upon hearing Ridenhour's demo track " Public Enemy Number One ", fledgling producer / upcoming music-mogul Rick Rubin insisted on signing him to his Def Jam label.

After the sale of the Tommy Boy Records ' master tapes to Warner Bros. Records, Everlast signed with Island / Def Jam, and released the solo LP White Trash Beautiful in 2004.

Mod era: Rickenbacker basses were seen as the stable bass of many 1970s / 1980s mod revival bands such as the Jam, with the notorious growl and clank sound featuring on hit records such as the Jam's " Eton Rifles " and " Going Underground ".

Heavily influenced by the UK rock scene, particularly The Clash, The Jam and Dr. Feelgood, Chao and other musicians formed the Spanish / English rockabilly group Hot Pants in the mid-1980s.

In 2001, he released a live album / DVD ( 7 Worlds Collide ) consisting of songs recorded at St James Theatre in Auckland, New Zealand with the likes of Lisa Germano, Sebastian Steinberg ( Soul Coughing ), Ed O ' Brien and Phil Selway ( Radiohead ), Johnny Marr ( The Smiths ), Eddie Vedder ( Pearl Jam ), Paul Jeffrey, Tim Finn, and Betchadupa.

Inspired by the success of Disney's Who Framed Roger Rabbit and a series of Nike commercials teaming the characters with basketball superstar Michael Jordan, the studio produced the live-action / animation combo Space Jam in 1996.

However, because Russell Simmons felt that Slayer's music was not in line with Def Jam, and because Def Jam ’ s then-distributor, Columbia / CBS Records, refused to release it, it was released through Geffen Records, and Rubin took the rights of the release to the new label with him after the split.

Between March 2 – 4, 1979, Weather Report traveled to Havana, Cuba, to participate in the historic Havana Jam festival, a break in mutual Cuban / American political hostilities which saw American artists such as Stephen Stills, the CBS Jazz All-Stars, Bonnie Bramlett, Kris Kristofferson, Rita Coolidge and Billy Joel play alongside Cuban artists such as Irakere, Pacho Alonso, Tata Güines and Orquesta Aragón.

And there were some more: in 1970 for Harrison's All Things Must Pass triple album, two records that have orange apples and one with an Apple Jam jar ; in 1970 for Lennon's John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band and Yoko Ono's Yoko Ono / Plastic Ono Band black and white apple labels ; in 1972 for Ringo Starr's " Back Off Boogaloo " blue apples ; in 1975 for Starr's Blast from Your Past red apples.

The Island Def Jam Music Group, Universal Republic Records, Decca Label Group, A & M / Octone and the newly re-launched Geffen Records are all based in New York.

The Grape Jam LP was one of loose improvised studio jams with outside musicians ; this detracted from the stronger tunes on Wow, such as the room-shaking shuffle " Can't Be So Bad.

The following month, the label was forced to both withdraw and recall Moby Grape, Wow and Grape Jam from print on both vinyl and CD because of a new lawsuit by former manager Katz.

These included " Ann Don't Cry ," " Carrot Rope ," " Spit On A Stranger ," " Platform Blues ," " You Are The Light ," " Folk Jam ," and two others that remain unreleased to this day (" Civilized Satanist ," which utilized a Moby Grape sample, and " Dot Days ").

The opening lyrics, the bluesy arrangement and some melodic elements are almost identical to Moby Grape's song " Never ," from Wow / Grape Jam, released in April 1968.
