The Julio-Claudian dynasty normally refers to the first five Roman Emperors: Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula ( also known as Gaius ), Claudius, and Nero, or the family to which they belonged ; they ruled the Roman Empire from its formation, in the second half of the 1st century ( 44 / 31 / 27 ) BC, until AD 68, when the last of the line, Nero, committed suicide.

Most of the originally Protestant churches in Masuria are now used by the Polish Roman Catholic Church as the number of Lutherans in Masuria declined from 68, 500 in 1950 to 21, 174 in 1961 and further to 3, 536 in 1981.

However, John A. T. Robinson and other scholars argued for a much earlier dating, based on the fact that the New Testament writings make no mention of ( 1 ) the Great Fire of Rome ( A. Nero ( Latin: Nero Claudius Caesar Augustus Germanicus ; 15 December 37 – 9 June 68 ) was Roman Emperor from 54 to 68, and the last in the Julio-Claudian dynasty.

Facing assassination, he committed suicide on 9 June 68 ( the first Roman emperor to do so ).

While under the emperor's patronage, Josephus wrote that after the Roman Legio X Fretensis, accompanied by Vespasian, destroyed Jericho on 21 June 68, Vespasian took a group of Jews who could not swim ( possibly Essenes from Qumran ), fettered them, and threw them into the Dead Sea to test the sea's legendary buoyancy.

One such raid in AD 68 / 69 was intercepted by the Legio III Gallica with Roman auxiliaries, who destroyed a raiding force of 9, 000 Roxolanian cavalry encumbered by baggage.

As regards her station, it should be noticed that she was not entitled to wear the stola, the dress of Roman matrons ( i. 6, 68 ).

This Julio-Claudian dynasty came to an end when the Emperor Nero — a great-great-grandson of Augustus through his daughter and of Livia through her son — was deposed in 68.

The overland route hypothesis, favored by Tang Yongtong, proposed that Buddhism disseminated eastward through Yuezhi and was originally practiced in western China, at the Han capital Luoyang ( present day Henan ), where Emperor Ming of Han established the White Horse Temple in 68 CE.

Servius Sulpicius Galba, who served as Emperor briefly in 68 – 69, governed the province since 61.

It was occupied by Emperor Vespasian in 68 AD.

Suetonius in Chapter 68 of his Life of Augustus writes that Lucius Antonius, the brother of Mark Antony accused the Emperor Augustus for having " given himself to Aulus Hirtius in Spain for three hundred thousand sesterces.

White Horse Temple (, Wade-Giles: Paima szu ) is, according to tradition, the first Buddhist temple in China, established in 68 AD under the patronage of Emperor Ming in the Eastern Han capital Luoyang.
