As Ede is situated along the A12 motorway and a direct link to the A1 via the A30 it can be a very good location for companies to put their offices or distribution centres.

The 284 miles ( 457 km ) A30 road from London to Land's End, used to provide the most direct route from London to the south west ; more recently the M3 motorway and A303 road performs this function for much of the route and only parts of A30 now retain trunk road status.

Much through traffic from the London area to south west England now uses the M3 motorway as far as Basingstoke then the A303 to Honiton where the route again joins the A30.

Sandhurst lies just off the A30, is close to junction 4 of the M3 motorway ( 3. 4 miles ) and within easy reach of the M4 ( 10. 3 miles ) via the Crowthorne bypass ( A3095 ) to Bracknell and the A329 ( M ) towards Reading.

It lies directly between the A30 national route and M3 motorway ( junction 4 exit ).

Heavitree lies on one of the most convenient routes from the city centre to the northbound M5 motorway and eastbound A30 trunk road ensuring that much traffic continues to pass through the district.

The town is situated 43 km / 27 miles southwest of London, adjacent to junction 3 of the M3 motorway and on the A30 road, midway between Camberley and Sunningdale.

It is situated east of Basingstoke and northeast of Southampton, on the A30 national route, just north of Junction 5 of the M3 motorway.

The river passes through or by Upottery, Rawridge, Monkton, Honiton ( then below the A30 trunk road ), Alfington, Ottery St Mary, Tipton St John, Newton Poppleford, Otterton and reaches the coast to the east of Budleigh Salterton, after flowing through the Otter Estuary Nature Reserve-a Site of Special Scientific Interest ( SSSI )-consisting of tidal mudflats and saltmarsh.

It then runs NW along the Andover Road ( formerly B3420 ), terminating at the A30.

The larger vehicle was named Renault-Saviem SG 4 Super Galion ( later AVIA A30 ), and the smaller was named SG 2 Super Goelette ( later AVIA A15 ).

With easy access to the A30 ( London Road ), a few major motorways, Sunningdale train station and Heathrow Airport, it can be classed as a commuter town / village.

Until the establishment of a turnpike road through the moor ( the present A30 ) in the 1770s the size of the moorland area made travel within Cornwall very difficult.

It is bypassed by a dual carriageway section of the A30 trunk road ; before the bypass was built the village straddled the A30 road.

The city of Osnabrück is connected by road to the A1, the A30 and the A33.

The A30 returns to single-carriageway west of Camborne, and a mid-1980s bypass takes the road around Hayle.

Once west of Penzance, the A30 becomes a more rural road running through or past several villages, before terminating at Lands End.

The movement grew to other road protest camps including the Newbury bypass, the A30 and the M11 link road protest in London, where whole streets were squatted in order to slow down the construction work.

From Honiton the route leads south-west along the old A30, to Strete Ralegh, where there is a short break, then a clear alignment along a minor road towards Exeter.

Shaftesbury (; sometimes known locally as Shaston ) is a town in Dorset, England, situated on the A30 road near the Wiltshire border 20 miles west of Salisbury.

Originally conceived as the ' London to Basingstoke Motorway ', the road was built to relieve traffic on the A30 and A33, the congested single carriageway trunk roads that previously carried the traffic.

These operators, and others at the airport, also specialised in the maintenance and major overhaul of various types of airliners from around the world, using the wartime " Bellman " hangars on both sides of the A30 road for this activity.

Blackbushe is situated alongside the A30 road between Camberley and Hook.

It used to straddle both sides of the A30, with road traffic having to wait whilst airliners were towed across this busy road.
