There were descendants of superseded daughters of Casimir III of Poland ( d. 1370 ), such as his youngest daughter Anna, Countess of Celje ( d. 1425 without surviving Issue ), and her daughter Anna of Celje ( 1380 – 1416 ) whom Władysław II Jagiełło married next.

After Albert's childless death in 1621, Luxembourg passed to his great-nephew and heir Philip IV of Spain, who through his paternal grandmother Anna of Austria, queen of Spain, Albert's sister, was the primogenitural heir to the Queen Elisabeth of Poland.

During one of his stays in England, Michael's future father married Anna Dorothea Janasz ( Dora ), the daughter of a wealthy immigrant landholder from Poland.

In 1402, Władysław answered the rumblings against his rule by marrying Anna of Celje, a granddaughter of Casimir III of Poland, a political match which re-legitimised his reign.

Sigismund, supported by Zamoyski and the former king's wife, Anna Jagiellon, was elected King of the Polish – Lithuanian Commonwealth on 19 August 1587 and recognized as such by the interrex, the Primate of Poland, Stanisław Karnkowski.

Krupa's father, Bartłomiej, was an immigrant from Poland, and his mother, Anna, was born in Shamokin, Pennsylvania.

Strzelecki was born in Głuszyna ( then part of South Prussia, today part of Nowe Miasto, Poznań ), Greater Poland, in 1797, the third child of Franciszek Strzelecki, a Polish nobleman ( Szlachta ) leasing land, and his wife, Anna Raczyńska.

Reason was that there was no reaction from the then Minister of the Foreign Affairs Anna Fotyga to the accusations formulated by deputy Minister of Defense Antoni Macierewicz who alleged that most of hitherto Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Third Republic of Poland were former agents of the Soviet special services according to files known as " fałszywkas " produced by the SB secret police.

Between 1486 and 1604 the town belonged to the Działyński family, then between 1604 and 1625 to Anna Vasa of Sweden who was the royal sister of Sigismund III Vasa, King of Poland, Lithuania, and Sweden.

His son William married Anna of Poland, daughter of the Polish king Casimir III the Great.

Upon Peter's death, Catherine found her four siblings, Krystyna, Anna, Karol and Fryderyk, gave them the newly created titles of Count and Countess, and brought them to Russia.

In 1865 Acton married Countess Marie Anna Ludomilla Euphrosina von Arco auf Valley, daughter of the Bavarian Count Maximilian von Arco auf Valley, by whom he had six children:

On 30 June 1978, Prince Michael was married, at a civil ceremony, at the Rathaus, Vienna, Austria, to Baroness Marie-Christine von Reibnitz, the only child of the Silesian nobleman Baron Gunther Hubertus von Reibnitz, and his Hungarian-born wife, Maria Anna Carolina Franziska Walpurga Bernadette, Countess Szapáry de Muraszombath, Széchysziget et Szapár.

Princess Michael is the only daughter of Baron Günther Hubertus von Reibnitz ( of German descent ) and his Hungarian wife, Countess Maria Anna Carolina Franziska Walpurga Bernadette Szapáry von Muraszombath, Széchysziget und Szapár, a daughter of Count Friedrich Szapáry von Muraszombath, Széchysziget und Szapár, an Austro-Hungarian diplomat, who served as an ambassador in Saint Petersburg at the outbreak of World War I.

He was married to Countess Anna Sofia Wied-Runkel, who long outlived him, dying in 1694.

Although the Duke's intention was to use Cliveden as a " hunting box " he later housed his mistress Anna, Countess of Shrewsbury there.

* The poet Alexander Pope wrote ( c. 1730 ) of the Duke of Buckingham's affair with Anna, Countess of Shrewsbury: " Gallant and gay in Cliveden's proud alcove / The bower of wanton Shrewsbury and love.

On 9 March 1808 Berthier married Duchess Maria Elisabeth Franziska in Bavaria ( Landshut, 5 May 1784 – Paris, 1 June 1849 ), only daughter of Duke Wilhelm in Bavaria and Countess Palatine Maria Anna of Zweibrücken-Birkenfeld, the sister of King Maximilian I Joseph of Bavaria.

In his personal life, in 1903 he married Countess Anna Julie Marie Széll von Bessenyö (* 1 March 1880 in Budapest ), niece of former Prime Minister of Hungary Kálmán Széll, with whom he had eight children, five violinist daughters and three sons, among them conductor Rafael Kubelík.
