" The Junction " is also the location of Brooklyn College – Flatbush Avenue station, the southern terminal of the IRT Nostrand Avenue Line () of the New York City Subway and the Junction Mall.

Located at the intersection of Bainbridge and Jerome Avenue in the Bronx neighborhood of Woodlawn, it is served by the 4 train at all times, providing service to the South Bronx, the East Side of Manhattan and Brooklyn on lines originally built by the Interborough Rapid Transit Company ( IRT ).

South of the station are track connections to the IRT Eastern Parkway Line express tracks toward Brooklyn.

When the station opened in 1905, there was as yet no IRT service to Brooklyn, and all Lexington Avenue trains terminated at South Ferry, using the outer-loop platform.

The IRT Brooklyn / Eastern Parkway Line was contracted in 1904 as a two track line under Fulton Street expanding to three tracks under Flatbush Avenue, to end at the Long Island Railroad terminal under Atlantic Avenue.

Bergen Street is a local station on the IRT Eastern Parkway Line of the New York City Subway, located at Bergen Street and Flatbush Avenue in Park Slope, Brooklyn.
