The AAFCS ( American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences ) represents teachers, educators, cooperatives, business, designers and nutritionists. The American Association of Family & Consumer Sciences ( AAFCS ) is the only national forum where K-12 teachers, university educators, and corporate executives collaborate to improve the quality of individual and family life.

CFA emerged from a national consumer forum, called Consumer Assembly that was first held in April 1966 to advance new consumer protections.

CFA made Consumer Assembly its annual conference and held this forum in conjunction with the organization ’ s annual meeting.

CI also works with and hosts the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue ( TACD ) – a forum of US and EU consumer organisations that develops and agrees on joint consumer policy recommendations to the US government and European Union to promote the consumer interest in EU and US policy making – at its office in London.
