Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back is a platform game in which the player character is the titular Crash Bandicoot.

The game ends with Doctor Nitrus Brio allowing Crash to activate the laser, destroying the Cortex Vortex and breaking the space station apart.

" The IGN staff said that the level design " isn't as varied as it could be " and added that the " jungle, snow and water " environments are recycled from the previous game and reused multiple times in Cortex Strikes Back.

The game's story takes place immediately after the events of its predecessing game: Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back.

The titular protagonist of the game is Crash Bandicoot, a mutated bandicoot who must travel through time and stop Doctor Neo Cortex from gathering the Crystals.

Naughty Dog began production on Crash Team Racing after the completion of Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back ; the game engine for Crash Team Racing was created at the same time Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped was produced.

In this cutscene, the main antagonist of the game, Emperor Velo XXVII, talks down on, from left to right, Doctor Neo Cortex, Doctor N. Gin, Tiny Tiger, Crunch Bandicoot, Coco Bandicoot and Crash Bandicoot.

The player character and protagonist of the game, Crash Bandicoot, is an evolved bandicoot who must win each of the races in Von Clutch's MotorWorld and win the deed to the park before Cortex can.

A number of the voice actors who appear in the game are new additions to the Crash Bandicoot cast taking over for previous actors, such as Chris Williams as Crunch Bandicoot, Nolan North as Doctor N. Gin and Amy Gross as Nina Cortex.

Their voice talent in the Japanese dub of the game has been changed accordingly, with Masafumi Kimura taking over as Crunch, Mitsuru Ogata taking over as Doctor N. Gin, and Chihiro Kusaka taking over as Nina Cortex.

Other compounds producing the ampakine activity profile such as IDRA-21 and Eli Lilly's LY-503, 430 have been developed by other pharmaceutical companies, but these are only used in animal research at present, and Cortex is the only company currently developing selective ampakine drugs for human use, in partnership with the larger pharmaceutical company Schering-Plough.
