In May 2006 he became the station's drive-time morning show host, replacing former Mighty Mighty Bosstones singer Dicky Barrett.

Since the band's inception, lead vocalist Dicky Barrett, bassist Joe Gittleman, tenor saxophonist Tim " Johnny Vegas " Burton and dancer (" Bosstone ") Ben Carr have remained constant members.

Bassist Joe Gittleman played with local hardcore band Gang Green, while vocalist Dicky Barrett was a member of Impact Unit and, later on, the Cheap Skates.

On October 11, 2007, on Boston Radio Station WBCN, Dicky Barrett confirmed what he called " the worst kept secret in Boston ": the announcement that the Bosstones would indeed play a tenth official Hometown Throwdown at Cambridge's famed Middle East club on December 26 – 30, 2007.

Then in 2004, Mighty Mighty Bosstones singer Dicky Barrett took over as the show's announcer when the Bosstones went on hiatus.

Added lead guitarist Ross Luongo played in the re-formed line-up of Jerry's Kids and started his musical career in Impact Unit, Mighty Mighty Bosstones ' front man Dicky Barrett's first band.

In the closing credits, it is revealed that 6 months after filming, Boo Boo is still in Lowell with a $ 200 a day crack habit, Dicky was sentenced to 10-15 years in prison ( he was paroled in 1999 ), and Brenda died of a drug overdose on October 25 1995.
