The battle continues for a while, but after the deaths of Bulldozer, Captain Marvel, Cyclops, Doctor Octopus, Kang, Magneto, and Spider-Woman, both sides declare peace.

The Punisher has been using technology derived from super-villains and other costumed characters, such as the Green Goblin's pumpkin bombs, a modified Goblin Glider, and a Doctor Octopus tentacle that he can shrink down for easy storage via Pym Particles.

This does occur in " Reinforcement " when he is sent to spring Doctor Octopus and Electro from Ravencroft.

He only got away with Electro as Doctor Octopus did not want to leave.

In " Gangland ," Doctor Octopus tries to call Kraven for backup, but Doctor Octopus ' phone becomes jammed by the Green Goblin.

It is possible that the screwdriver had appeared before Fury from the Deep without the Doctor referring to it by that name: the prop used there appears to be one used by the Doctor in many earlier stories, including the First Doctor's sabotage of Dalek equipment as early as the second serial.

This version of the screwdriver also appears, although never officially announced, to have a flashlight setting, as the Doctor is seen to have it emitting a continuous glow while not uttering the classic sonic noise.

* In the series 6 episode " Let's Kill Hitler ", the Doctor has a sonic cane which appears to have the same functions as the sonic screwdriver.

In " World War Three ", the Doctor is able to shake off an electrocution attempt which is fatal to a number of humans, and appears unaffected by the energy whip wielded by the Sycorax in " The Christmas Invasion ".

* In " The Deadly Assassin ", Announcer Runcible, an old classmate, recognises the Fourth Doctor despite his changes in appearance and mentions that the Doctor appears to have had a " face lift " since they last met.

The Doctor in this circumstance appears to only be referring to recognition of the individual as a Time Lord, not necessarily the specific identity.

* Cardinal Zero from the single episode audio story Circular Time: Spring – a similarly titled Time Lord ( Zeuro ) appears in the Doctor Who Unbound audio A Storm of Angels ( although it is not established whether these are meant to be alternate versions of the same person )

Romana II also appears with Paul McGann's Eighth Doctor in the 2003 remake of Shada, an audio play produced by Big Finish for the BBC's Doctor Who website and accompanied by Macromedia Flash animations, and also in Neverland and Zagreus.

Several months later, Spider-Ham encountered his main nemesis and one of his only re-occurring enemies in the form of Ducktor Doom, a duck parody of Doctor Doom ( Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham # 1, " The Mysterious Island of Ducktor Doom ").
