* Dong Cheng ( executed by Cao Cao )

In 200, Dong Cheng, an imperial relative, received a secret edict from Emperor Xian to assassinate Cao Cao.

He collaborated with Liu Bei on this effort, but Cao Cao soon found out about the plot and had Dong Cheng and his conspirators executed, with only Liu Bei surviving and fleeing to join Yuan Shao in the north.

Famous disciples of Dong to become teachers were Yin Fu ( 尹福 ), Cheng Tinghua ( 程廷華 ), Ma Gui ( 马贵 ), Song Changrong ( 宋長榮 ), Liu Fengchun ( 劉鳳春 ), Ma Weiqi ( 馬維棋 ), Liu Baozhen ( 劉寶珍 ), Liang Zhenpu ( 梁振蒲 ) and Liu Dekuan ( 劉德寛 ).

In early 199, as Cao Cao was facing a major military confrontation against Yuan Shao, Dong Cheng claimed to have received a secret edict issued by Emperor Xian ( hidden in a belt ), and he entered into a conspiracy with Liu Bei, Zhong Ji ( 种輯 ), and Wang Fu ( 王服 ) to assassinate Cao.

Late in 199, Liu Bei started a rebellion and waited for Dong Cheng to act in the capital, but in 200, Dong's conspiracy was discovered, and he, along with Zhong Ji and Wang Fu, were killed.

Among Yang Chengfu's students were famous masters such as Tung Ying-chieh ( Dong Yingjie, 董英杰 ; 1898 – 1961 ), Chen Weiming, Fu Zhongwen ( Fu Chung-wen, 1903 – 1994 ), Li Yaxuan ( 李雅轩 ; 1894 – 1976 ) and Cheng Man-ch ' ing.

Capitalizing on the chaos and massive confusion, the Emperor sneaked out of the capital, and was rescued by the leader of White Wave Bandits, Yang Feng, who, along with Dong Cheng, Yang Ding, and subordinate Xu Huang, defeated the army of Guo Si, who returned to Li Jue to make a last-ditch effort to recapture the Emperor.

Dong Cheng ( died 200 ) was an official during the late Han Dynasty.

Nevertheless, the mysterious Dong Cheng acted as a captain of Niu Fu's private militia during the reign of Dong Zhuo's rule, but such service ended after Niu Fu had been murdered by his subordinate Huchi ' er in 192.

* Dong Xi, general under Sun Quan

During the war, Ling Tong and Dong Xi brought down Huang Zu's two super-sized capital war ships.

After the battle, Sun Quan deemed Lü Meng's contribution as the most significant, as Chen Jiu's death ensured Sun Quan's victory, Ling Tong's contribution as second, for Ling destroyed Huang's capital ships and took over the city, and Dong Xi the third, as he broke the connection between the two capital ships, and destroyed them.

The name Pearl River is usually used as a catchment term to refer to the watersheds of the Xi Jiang (" West River "), the Bei Jiang (" North River "), and the Dong Jiang (" East River ").

Thus, Dong evacuated everyone in Luoyang and moved them to the new capital city of Chang ' an ( present-day Xi ' an ) in the west.

Dong Xi ( died 215 ) was a military general serving under the warlords Sun Ce and Sun Quan during the late Han Dynasty period of Chinese history.

Dong Xi followed Sun Ce to attack Liu Xun of Lujiang and Huang Zu of Jiangxia.

She consulted Dong about her incertitude, and Dong Xi emboldened the former by saying, " The lands east of the Yangzi enjoy natural barriers from mountains and rivers, while the good government and virtue of Sun Ce have already attracted the people, lord Sun Quan can build on these foundations, so that great and small may follow his commands.

Sun then ordered Dong Xi with Ling Tong, Jiang Qin and Bu Zhi to suppress the riot army which had numbered to tens of thousands.

Dong Xi along with Ling Tong were together in the van, each in command of 100 volunteers in double armour.

At the Battle of Ruxukou against Cao Cao's serried army of 400, 000, Sun Quan sent Dong Xi to command the “ five-storied ship ” and station at the mouth of Ruxu.

His subordinates evacuated the warship, and pleaded for Dong Xi to come out, but the loyal, yet stubborn Dong replied sternly, “ As a general who have received responsibility to get ready to face the rebels, how can I leave my post?
