She made her concerto début on 21 March 1962 at the Royal Festival Hall playing the Elgar Cello Concerto with the BBC Symphony Orchestra under Rudolf Schwarz.

Elgar and 1986
From 1984 to 1986 the duo recorded 11 songs at Grettisgat studios ( which later turned into Sýrland ) which are known as The Elgar Sessions.
With the break-up of KUKL by mid 1986, The Elgar Sisters project was terminated.
Guitarist Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson appears with " Síðasta Ég " a song recorded in 1986 by The Elgar Sisters, a duet project between Guðlaugur and Björk.
