The club is one of the five teams that has earned the right to keep the European Cup and to wear a multiple-winner badge ; they won consecutively in 1971 – 1973.

In 1972, they completed the European treble by winning the Dutch Eredivisie, KNVB Cup, and the European Cup ; to date, they are the only team to keep the European Cup and accomplish the European treble.

Ajax won the championship in 1966 and 1967, scoring a record breaking 122 goals including 33 from Johan Cruijff, and again in 1968, and reached the European Cup final of 1969 against AC Milan.

The 1971 European Cup final saw Ajax beat Panathinaikos 2-0 with goals from Dick van Dijk and Arie Haan.

Played against Rangers, winners of the 1971 – 72 European Cup Winners ' Cup, it actually went ahead as ' a celebration of the I Centenary of Rangers F. C.

On the European stage Roma won an Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1960 – 61, coming close to European Cup victory in 1983 – 84 ( lost the one-legged final played at home against Liverpool after a penalty shootout ), and finishing as runners-up in the UEFA Cup for 1990 – 91 ( two-legged aggregate defeat against Internazionale ).

European acts Silver Convention, Love and Kisses, Munich Machine, and American acts Donna Summer and the Village People, were acts that defined the late 1970s Eurodisco sound.

The European and American releases of Pokémon Yellow and Pokémon Gold and Silver feature different-colored cartridges, although they are technically identical to the standard black ones.

Scots Pine is the only pine native to northern Europe, forming either pure forests or alongside Norway Spruce, Common Juniper, Silver Birch, European Rowan, Eurasian Aspen and other hardwood species.

With very few exceptions, American and Northern European whites were placed on the Gold Roll, blacks and southern European whites on the Silver Roll.

The Council of European National Top Level Domain Registries ( CENTR ), which represents the Internet registries of 39 countries, rejected the increase, accusing ICANN of a lack of financial prudence and criticizing what it describes as ICANN's " unrealistic political and operational targets ".

It was the founding party in 1988 of the TIME ( Top Industrial Managers for Europe ) network, that enables student exchanges among leading European engineering schools.

This was the first European expedition to visit the Top End of Australia and it was their aim to explore as widely as possible and establish a settlement at Escape Cliffs, on the mouth of the Adelaide River.

The song was a moderate success in Europe, charting at No. 16 in the European chart ( with 6 weeks in the Top 20 ).

" Love to Love You Baby " found chart success in several European countries, and made the Top 5 in the United Kingdom despite the BBC ban.

The band broke up and George pursued a solo career, having several European hits and a couple of US Top 40 hits.

Erasure's first three singles were commercial failures in the UK, although the third, " Oh L ' amour ", charted well in Australia and a few European countries ( especially in France, where it still remains Erasure's only hit to date, and Germany where it was a Top 16 success ).

The band rose to fame with anti-war song " Enola Gay " in 1980, which became their first UK Top 10 hit and reached number one in several European territories, and achieved worldwide popularity the following year with Architecture & Morality.

The album had much less success than hoped though it reached the Top 20 in many European countries, # 6 in Sweden being its highest position.

The title track of the album was also a top 10 hit in Italy, and made the U. S., Canadian, French, German, New Zealand and Netherlands Top 40, and a third single, " Dum Dum Girl ", was a success in some European countries and in New Zealand, though the LP and its singles were largely ignored in their native UK.

Salt-N-Pepa's next album release, 1988's A Salt with a Deadly Pepa, contained the Top Ten R & B hit and moderate pop hit " Shake Your Thang ", featuring the go-go band E. U. A top 20 R & B hit and a minor pop hit were also seen in " Everybody Get Up " and " Twist and Shout " ( UK # 4 ), respectively ; with " Twist and Shout " becoming a major hit in the UK on the UK Singles Chart, and several other European countries.

They are also the only Scottish team to have won two European trophies, both in the same year, and are, along with Celtic, one of only two Scottish teams that have never been relegated from the Top Division.
