Floating Point is an album by John McLaughlin, released in 2008 through the record label Abstract Logix.

The completion of the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge across Lake Washington in 1963 allowed Redmond to flourish as a suburb of Seattle.

These problems are being mitigated by the expansion of SR-520 and the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge, as well as the planned light rail service via East Link from Seattle to Redmond during the second phase of Sound Transit.

Their main differences were the CPU, RAM, and Weitek Floating Point Accelerator boards, disk controllers and disk drives ( both ST-506 and SMD were available ).

This is often supported in Floating Point Hardware called FPUs.

This was partly inspired by the difficulty Fisher observed at Yale of compiling for architectures like Floating Point Systems ' FPS164, which had a complex instruction set architecture ( CISC ) that separated instruction initiation from the instructions that saved the result, requiring very complicated scheduling algorithms.

Oregon-based Floating Point Systems ( FPS ) built add-on array processors for minicomputers, later building their own minisupercomputers.

The ASIC integrated two 700 MHz PowerPC 440 embedded processors, each with a double-pipeline-double-precision Floating Point Unit ( FPU ), a cache sub-system with built-in DRAM controller and the logic to support multiple communication sub-systems.

Three floating bridges cross Lake Washington: the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge ( officially the Governor Albert D. Rosellini Bridge-Evergreen Point ) carries State Route 520 from Seattle's Montlake neighborhood to Medina while the Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge and the Third Lake Washington Bridge ( officially the Homer M. Hadley Memorial Bridge ) carries Interstate 90 from Seattle's Mount Baker neighborhood to Mercer Island.

Mainframe is divided into six sectors ( moving clockwise ): Baudway, Kits, Floating Point Park, Beverly Hills, Wall Street, and Ghetty Prime ( also called G-Prime ).

He has been called “ The Father of Floating Point ,” since he was instrumental in creating the original IEEE 754 specification.

On 28 April 2008 the recording sessions from the previous year surfaced on the album Floating Point, featuring the rhythm section of keyboardist Louis Banks, bassist Hadrien Feraud, percussionist Sivamani and drummer Ranjit Barot bolstered on each track by a different Indian musician.

The company was founded in 1983 by former Floating Point Systems, Intel, and Tektronix engineers.

Later, the company produced the B5000 SPARC ECL microprocessor ( never reached production in a Sun Microsystems product, though used by Floating Point Systems ) and the R6000 MIPS ECL microprocessor ( which did reach production as a MIPS minicomputer ).

Floating Point Systems Inc. ( FPS ) was a Beaverton, Oregon vendor of attached array processors and minisupercomputers.

The transputer achieved some success as the basis for several parallel supercomputers from companies such as Meiko ( formed by ex-Inmos employees in 1985 ), Floating Point Systems, Parsytec and Parsys.

The sacred blue maize was planted alongside the wheat and Floating Eagle Feather gave a metal ring representing an American Indian circle symbol that was embedded in cement on the inside wall of the chapel, along with many Islamic, Christian, Jewish, Hindu Buddhist and other objects of daily life including part of a computer.

A company called Floating Islands International licenses technology for creating floating islands to a variety of organizations.

Floating Island Environmental Solutions, a company based out of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, creates floating islands constructed from matrix sheets, derived from non-woven 100 % recycled PET plastic which mimic naturally occurring wetlands.

In 1868 the company took over the Cowes Floating Bridge Company and operated the floating bridge until 1901.

The company was required to reach an agreement with The First Narrows Floating Co-op, representing floating home and live-aboard boat residents in pre existing marinas, for their inclusion in the redevelopment of the waterfront.

The project opened in 2000 as the successor to the Exploratory, a science museum and demonstration centre, founded by Richard Gregory, in the former terminus train shed at Bristol Temple Meads Station ( later home to the British Empire and Commonwealth Museum ), but moved to a city centre site as part of the regeneration of the historical Floating Harbour.

It was the second floating bridge to cross Lake Washington ; the first was the Lake Washington Floating Bridge, built in 1940 as part of U. S. Route 10, later part of Interstate 90, which at its construction was the largest floating structure ever built.

The Lacey V. Murrow Memorial Bridge is the second longest floating bridge on Earth at, whereas the longest is the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge just a few miles to the north on the same lake, built 23 years later.

Floating wreckage from the plane was later found about 14 miles northwest of Pago Pago by the U. S. naval seaplane tender Avocet.
