The album featured the disco-style single " Blue Light " ( later remixed by François Kevorkian and which was often voted as worst Floyd solo song according to the Floyd fanzine The Amazing Pudding ) and another single, " Love on the Air ".

Some later Polydor CD ( 823 763-2, Barcode 042282376329, Made in W. Germany by PDO ) issues contain remixes of the originally released versions of " Zoolook " and " Zoolookologie " ( by François Kevorkian ), and reverse the positions of these two tracks in the running order.

Parisian producer St. Germain produced house tracks with a similar style at the time but these were more directly influenced by Jazz as opposed to the brasher vocal disco records appropriated, while other known French DJ-turned-producers at the time such as François Kevorkian and Laurent Garnier remained relatively distant from the emerging French house label.

" Shiny Toys " and " Good Friends " were released as singles ; " Shiny Toys " was also released in a 12 " Extended Dance Single format, remix by François Kevorkian, and had a more complete lyric than the album version, featuring spoken voice by Thomas Dolby ( " I LOVE being out on the golf course!
