The codpiece crossed over from the leather subculture to become an established part of heavy metal fashion performance costume when Rob Halford, of the band Judas Priest, began wearing clothing adopted from the gay biker and leather subculture while promoting the Killing Machine ( AKA Hell Bent for Leather ) album in 1978.

Killing Machine ( also known as Hell Bent For Leather ) is the fifth studio album by British heavy metal band Judas Priest.

Killing Machine was retitled Hell Bent for Leather for release in the United States, because the US branch of Columbia / CBS did not like the " murderous implications " of the album title and with " The Green Manalishi ( With the Two-Pronged Crown )" an early Fleetwood Mac cover, being added to the recording.

In 2006 the band was signed to the Alternative Tentacles label who released their full length CD and Record " Hell Bent For Letters ".

A music video also featured More to the song of " Hell Bent " by Kenna which was aired on MTV2 and the Toonami block on Cartoon Network in 2001.

There were no tracks from their 1970s albums, though the 2002 remastered version did contain " Hell Bent for Leather " as a bonus track.

Christian eschatology is concerned with death, an intermediate state, Heaven, Hell, the Second Coming of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, a rapture, a tribulation, the Millennium, end of the world, the last judgment, a new heaven and a new earth, and the ultimate consummation of all of God's purposes.
