Hughenden Valley ( formerly called Hughenden or Hitchendon ) is an extensive village and civil parish within Wycombe district in Buckinghamshire, England, just to the north of High Wycombe.

Hughenden parish was first mentioned in the Domesday Book of 1086 and was called Huchedene, or Hugh's Valley in modern English.

Widmer End is a hamlet in the parish of Hughenden, in Buckinghamshire, England.

He became vicar of Hughenden Buckinghamshire in 1817 until 1825, and was also Chaplain in ordinary to the Prince Regent.

The location of this famous battle is now claimed by some to be the village of Great Wratting, in Suffolk, which lies in the Stour Valley on the Icknield Way West of Colchester, and by a village in Essex.

The village gave its name to Cheddar cheese and has been a centre for strawberry growing, with the crop being transported on the Cheddar Valley line, which closed in the late 1960s but is now a cycle path.
