Hoover's mother, Hulda Randall ( Minthorn ) Hoover ( 1849 – 84 ), was born in Norwich, Ontario, Canada, of English and Irish descent.

Woodland is perhaps best known as the home of Hulda Klager ( 1863 – 1960 ), who was a prolific breeder of lilacs.

It is certain that a number of his more " advanced " works appeared in this time period: the symphonic poems Le Chasseur Maudit ( 1882 ) and Les Djinns ( 1883 – 1884 ), the Prelude, Chorale, and Fugue for piano ( 1884 ), the Variations Symphonique ( 1885 ), and the opera Hulda ( 1886 ).

Hulda Garborg ( 1862 – 1934 ) and Klara Semb ( 1884 – 1970 ) are cited as pioneers in bringing bunads into mainstream culture.

Hulda Garborg ( née Bergersen, 22 February 1862 – 5 November 1934 ) was a Norwegian writer, novelist, playwright, poet, folk dancer, and theatre instructor.

Karen Hulda Bergersen was born on the farm Såstad in Stange, Hedmark, to the lawyer Christian Frederik Bergersen ( 1829 – 1973 ) and his wife Marie Petrine Olsen ( 1835 – 1888 ).

His first political involvement was to found a student organization called “ Hulda ,” whose regulations stated it was dedicated “ solely to the revival of the Hebrew nation in a new state .” During the 1929 riots in Palestine, Jewish communities came under attack by local Arabs, and Stern served with the Haganah, doing guard duty on a synagogue rooftop in Jerusalem ’ s Old City.

The most famous account of Holda was collected by the Brothers Grimm, the fairy tale Mother Hulda ( German: Frau Holle ):

But Mother Hulda reproved her idle nature by sending her home covered with tar ( Note: The German word used in the story is " Pech ", which can mean either pitch ( resen ) or bad luck.

Their next recording was Live in New Orleans, three quarters of which was recorded at the Saenger Theatre, on November 14 – 15, 1980.

In either 1865, 1866, or 1867, according to different accounts, the American civil engineer, Walter Darwent, discovered and produced oil at Aripero.

Efforts in 1867 to begin production by the Trinidad and Tobago Petroleum Company at La Brea and the Pariah Petroleum Company at Aripero were poorly financed and abandoned after Walter Darwent died of yellow fever.
