For the coordinated exchange of information and data between the member states and its national oceanographic data centers, in 1961 the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange ( IODE ) was established.

* International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange ( IODE )

In December 1992, the National Oceanographic Data Center ( NODC ) and WDC presented an initial proposal for the GODAR Project at the 14th Session of the Committee on International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange ( IODE ) where it was approved.

These are national oceanographic data centers which participate in the International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange ( IODE ) System of the International Oceanographic Commission.

In recognition of the success of the IOC Global Oceanographic Data Archaeological and Rescue Project ( GODAR project ), a proposal was presented at the 16th Session of the Committee on International Oceanographic Data and Information Exchange ( IODE ), which was held in Lisbon, Portugal, in October – November 2000, to establish the World Ocean Database Project.

Data comes from the: ( a ) Sixty-five National Oceanographic Data Centers and nine Designated National Agencies ( DNAs ) ( in Croatia, Finland, Georgia, Malaysia, Romania, Senegal, Sweden, Tanzania, and Ukraine ), ( b ) International Ocean Observing Projects such as the completed World Ocean Circulation Experiment ( WOCE ) and Joint Global Ocean Flux Study ( JGOFS ), as well as currently active programs such as CLIVAR and Argo, ( c ) International Ocean Data Management Projects such as the IOC / IODE Global Oceanographic Data Archaeology and Rescue Project ( GODAR ), and ( d ) Real-time Ocean Observing Systems such as the IOC / IODE Global Temperature-Salinity Profile Project ( GTSPP ).

This new Project was endorsed by the IODE at the conclusion of the Portugal meeting, and the IOC subsequently approved this project in June 2001.

The proposal was subsequently endorsed by the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission ( IOC )-- the parent body of the IODE -- at the 17th IOC Assembly held in March 1993.

It was opened in 1968 by the Imperial Order Daughters of the Empire ( IODE ), Missionary Health Institute and Canadian Mothercraft Society.

Ridgetown is home to many service clubs, including Rotary International, Kiwanis Club ( also Key Club and Aktion Club ), Optimists, IODE, the Ridgetown and Area Adult Activity Centre, Masonic Temple, Knights of Columbus, The Royal Canadian Legion and its Ladies ' Auxiliary-and eight churches.

As recently as March 2006, the National Airspace Data Interchange Network has used X. 25 to interconnect remote airfields with Air Route Traffic Control Centers.

DC-20 remained on duty until March 1983 when technology advances allowed the Air Force to shut down many SAGE Data Centers.

Pre-action sprinkler systems are specialized for use in locations where accidental activation is undesired, such as in museums with rare art works, manuscripts, or books ; and Data Centers, for protection of computer equipment from accidental water discharge.

Working with international institutions such as the International Council of Scientific Unions, the World Data Centers, and the World Meteorological Organization, NCDC develops standards by which data can be exchanged and made accessible.

The Telecommunications Industry Association's TIA-942 Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers, which specifies the minimum requirements for telecommunications infrastructure of data centers and computer rooms including single tenant enterprise data centers and multi-tenant Internet hosting data centers.

In 2005 it published ANSI / TIA-942, Telecommunications Infrastructure Standard for Data Centers, which defined four levels ( called tiers ) of data centers in a thorough, quantifiable manner.

They are one of three NOAA National Data Centers ( NNDC ).

There are three World Data Centers for Oceanography:

Australia's Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation ( CSIRO ), the Scripps Institution of Oceanography ( SIO ), and NOAA's Atlantic Oceanographic & Meteorological Laboratory ( AOML ) perform this function as Data Assembly Centers for the World Ocean Circulation Program, which the GTSPP supports.

* WOCE Data Assembly Centers: Perform scientific quality control through data analysis, and issues products and predictions based on the global temperature-salinity data set.

Last but not least, Bull is developing container-based technologies to facilitate rapid deployment of new or complementary Data Centers in any location.

The building will be the new home for NOAA's Center for Satellite Applications and Research, Air Resources Laboratory and National Centers for Environmental Prediction and the NOAA / DoD / NASA Joint Center for Satellite Data Assimilation.

The surface buoy receives transmitted information from the BPR via an acoustic link and then transmits data to a satellite, which retransmits the data to ground stations for immediate dissemination to NOAA's Tsunami Warning Centers, NOAA's National Data Buoy Center, and NOAA's Pacific Marine Environmental Laboratory ( PMEL ).
