Around the same time period, Cable becomes a member of a team of X-Men that consists of Rogue, Iceman, Cannonball, Sabretooth, Mystique, Lady Mastermind, and Omega Sentinel.

After a Sentinel strike leveled the island nation, the X-Men found Frost amidst the rubble with a " secondary mutation " which hardened her skin to a diamond-like density.

Sentinel attacks the X-Men ( thinking them to be Masque loyalists ), Skids recovers and takes charge of the investigation, much to Caliban's delight.

Since his primary purpose was to act as a portable Sentinel-creating factory, and the Sentinel robots were primarily used to hunt mutants, Master Mold has almost exclusively appeared in the X-Men and related, mutant-themed, comic books.
