An inuksuk ( plural inuksuit ) ( from the Inuktitut: ᐃᓄᒃᓱᒃ, plural ᐃᓄᒃᓱᐃᑦ ; alternatively inukshuk in English or inukhuk in Inuinnaqtun ) is a stone landmark or cairn built by humans, used by the Inuit, Inupiat, Kalaallit, Yupik, and other peoples of the Arctic region of North America.

Cape Dorset ( Inuktitut: Kinngait ; Syllabics: ᑭᙵᐃᑦ ) is an Inuit hamlet located on Dorset Island near Foxe Peninsula at the southern tip of Baffin Island in the Qikiqtaaluk Region of Nunavut, Canada.

It is based largely on the Inuktitut dialects of north Baffin Island and central Nunavut.
