On 29 January 1855, John Arthur Roebuck introduced a motion for the appointment of a select committee to enquire into the conduct of the war.

The first of these was the production of sulphuric acid by the lead chamber process invented by the Englishman John Roebuck ( James Watt's first partner ) in 1746.

More substantial backing came from John Roebuck, the founder of the celebrated Carron Iron Works, near Falkirk, with whom he now formed a partnership.

In the same year James Watt visited Birmingham on the recommendation of his business patron John Roebuck, being shown around the Soho Manufactory by Small and Darwin in Boulton's absence.

In Bath he came into contact with John Arthur Roebuck Rudge.

John T. Lovett owned a nursery that once covered almost half the borough, supplying large catalog houses such as Sears Roebuck, Macy's and Newberry's.

A motion in Parliament by John Arthur Roebuck on January 29, 1855 called for an investigation into the conduct of the war by the government and, especially, an investigation of the conduct of the war by Duke of Newcastle — the Secretary for War.

He took part as a conservative in the discussions of the London Debating Society, where his opponents were JA Roebuck and John Stuart Mill.

John Arthur Roebuck

John Arthur Roebuck ( 28 December 1802 – 30 November 1879 ), British politician, was born at Madras, in India.

In London, he met with reformers Joseph Hume and John Arthur Roebuck and wrote in the Morning Chronicle to influence British public opinion in his favour.

He became associated with James Watt when Watt's business partner, John Roebuck, was unable to pay a debt to Boulton, who accepted Roebuck's share of Watt's patent as settlement.

Thuvia, Maid of Mars is notable in that John Carter's son, Cathoris, invents an apparent precursor of the autopilot ( decades before an actual device was created ).

1881: Birmingham businessman John Skirrow Wright invents the Postal Order and its use subsequently spreads across the world.

1900: John Wright invents a much-improved gas fire which uses fretted columns of fire clay, rather than tufted asbestos, to radiate the heat.

But it is in the process of so doing because it apparently gives priority to trying to downgrade John F. Kennedy.

The pope, as Bishop of Rome, may open a process and has the authority to waive the five year waiting period, as was done for Mother Teresa by Pope John Paul II, and for Lúcia Santos and for John Paul II himself by Pope Benedict XVI.
