The fleet division of Ford Motor Company sells a Lincoln Town Car with a special " hearse package " strictly to coachbuilders.

In 2002, British author Pete Davies wrote American Road: The Story of an Epic Transcontinental Journey at the Dawn of the Motor Age, about the 1919 Army Convoy on the Lincoln Highway.

In 1924, the Ford Motor Company produced and released Fording the Lincoln Highway.

In September 1965, Ford Motor Company introduced factory-installed and dealer-installed eight-track tape players as an option on three of its 1966 models ( Mustang, Thunderbird and Lincoln ), and RCA Victor introduced 175 Stereo-8 Cartridges from its RCA Victor & RCA Camden artist's catalogs.

In 1981, the Town Car became a stand-alone model in the Lincoln product line, superseding the Continental as the flagship for the Lincoln brand as well as for Ford Motor Company.

The power pedals are now standard on all models, presumably to cut manufacturing costs ( Crown Victoria LX, Grand Marquis LS and Lincoln Town Car all had them as standard equipment previously ) and side impact airbags are also standard.

A year later, as part of The Way Forward, Ford announced the closure of the St. Thomas, Canada facility where the Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis were assembled ; production of the Lincoln Town Car had been relocated there as part of another factory closure.

With the end of production of the full-size rear wheel drive body-on-frame platform for the Crown Victoria and Lincoln Town Car, Ford is promoting the Ford Taurus and Lincoln MKS flagships for consumers.

The Mercury Grand Marquis and Lincoln Town Car, which also use the Ford Panther platform, however, were still available at Ford & Lincoln dealerships in Canada through the 2007 model year.

The Lincoln Town Car is often used as a chauffeured car in the U. S.

Vehicles used for these means are usually Lincoln Town Car, Cadillac, Mercedes, or Rolls-Royce or Maybach for the more wealthy.

The statue of Abraham Lincoln at the entrance of the park was commissioned by the WPA Works Progress Administration.

It appeared in The Century Magazine serially from 1886 to 1890 and was then issued ( 1890-94 ) in book form as ten volumes, together with the two-volume Complete Works of Abraham Lincoln.

Downriver communities near Detroit and Dearborn ( such as Allen Park, Lincoln Park, Wyandotte, River Rouge, Melvindale and Ecorse ) were developed in the 1920s-1940s and are identified by brick and mortar homes ( often bungalows ), tree-lined streets and Works Progress Administration-designed municipal buildings.

The federal Works Progress Administration ( WPA ) oversaw the construction of the Twin Lakes Tunnel, which diverted water from Grizzly Reservoir, on Lincoln Creek, a southern tributary of the Roaring Fork, to Twin Lakes, where it was used for irrigation purposes by beet and watermelon farmers in the Rocky Ford and Ordway areas.

By 1894, the Sears catalog had grown to 322 pages, featuring sewing machines, bicycles, sporting goods, automobiles ( produced from 1905 – 1915 by Lincoln Motor Car Works of Chicago, not related to the current Ford Motor Company brand of the same name ) and a host of other new items.
