Because of the unrelated label in the Philippines owning the rights to the Universal Records name in that country, parent company Universal Music Group does business there as MCA Music, Inc., using UMG's former name.

In December 1995, Gannett ( who owned former Crosley station WXIA-TV in Atlanta ) acquired Multimedia, Inc., while the respective syndication division was acquired by MCA Universal.

Formed in late 1994 through a joint partnership between Australis Media, Columbia TriStar, MCA, Viacom and Tele-Communications Inc., Showtime started broadcasting in 1995 as part of the basic package on the now-defunct Galaxy service, showing first-run films.

The entire group was sold to MCA Records in 1979 ; as a result of subsequent takeovers, the remnants of the ABC music group are now owned by Universal Music Group.

The album was released in the US on A & M Records ( now owned by MCA successor Universal Music Group, while the MCA label itself has been absorbed into Geffen Records, which like A & M is currently a subsidiary of Interscope Records ) in late 1975.

The landmark Paul Williams-designed Beverly Hills property that MCA once occupied is now the headquarters for Paradigm Talent Agency.

Azoff resigned from MCA in 1989 to form his own record label, Giant Records, now defunct.

The Dot / Paramount catalog is now owned by Universal Music Group, with Geffen Records ( which absorbed MCA Records, and was founded by David Geffen, who become a co-founder of Paramount's one-time sister studio DreamWorks ) managing the pop / rock back catalog, and MCA Nashville Records managing the country back catalog.

It was bought by MCA and is now owned by Universal Music Group.
