Nauset and Eastham
Originally settled by the Nauset tribe, Eastham was the site where in 1621 a hunting expedition comprised from the crew of the sailing vessel Mayflower, which had stopped in Provincetown harbor on Cape Cod Bay after a rough crossing of the Atlantic Ocean, which led to the first encounter of the Pilgrims and the local Nauset Indians at First Encounter Beach.
The second was moved to Eastham to become the Nauset Light in 1923, after both were upgraded to rotating lights.
Jung was later arrested in Massachusetts in 1987 at his mansion on Nauset Beach, near Eastham.

In May 1621 John Billington ( younger ) became lost in some woods for several days, eventually being returned home by some natives from Nauset on Cape Cod.
