The band was formed in 1994 by James " Ned " Kirby.

* J Ned Kirby provides vocals on the track Accelerating on the 2004 album Aura by The Alpha Conspiracy, and also lends his talents on two albums by the band Cycloon ( titled Head | Over | Now ( 2000 ) and Zeitseize ( 2002 ) ).

Kristy Venrick ( The Azoic ), Martha M. Arce ( Distorted Reality ), Eric Oehler ( Null Device ), and Ned Kirby ( Stromkern ) were various collaborations that he featured in this album.

In 2004, Alex created The Parallel Project, an album combining his music with the vocals of other industrial artists, including Salva Maine, Sandrine Gouriou, Ned Kirby, Tom Shear, Rashree Matson, Daniel Myer, Jennifer Parkin, Clint Carney, Darrin Huss, Courtney Bangert, Victoria Lloyd, Mark Jackson, Kristy Venrick, and G. Wygonik.

Through connections to Stromkern's Ned Kirby and a variety of DJ's from local clubs, the project slowly became more focused on vocal-oriented industrial dance music, driven by Lawrence's experimental audio software.

Scott ( then bass player ), Murphy ( cousin of Ned Murphy from the Liverpool band Rain ( Columbia records ) and later Proper ( Chrysalis Records )) and Parle formed Space in 1993 and aimed for a Who-influenced sound.

The band is now composed of Robert Schwartzman ( lead vocals, guitar ), Louie Stephens ( keyboards, piano ), Taylor Locke ( lead guitar, backing vocals ), Ned Brower ( drums, backing vocals ), and Brandon Schwartzel ( bass guitar ).

Steinberger refers to a series of distinctive electric guitars and bass guitars, designed and originally manufactured by Ned Steinberger.

He has also played Electric double bass ( including a Zeta bass circa Maybe You Should Drive, and a couple Ned Steinbergers later on ), and bass guitar for BNL.

The Egg is a British electronic dance music band, consisting of Ned Scott ( keyboards ), Maff Scott ( drums ), Ben Cullum ( bass ) and Matt White ( lead guitar ).

Kirby was originally a DJ in Madison, Wisconsin as a teenager, experimenting under the moniker " Flowers for Ravers " before founding Stromkern.

Grandson Tyler Kirby is the bass player for world famous Touche Amore.

The band-which originally was composed of Tyson Stevens on bass and vocal ( later to be strictly the vocalist ), guitarists Chad Crawford, DJ Wilson ( later to switch to bass ) and Steve Kirby, Pouyan Afkary on keyboards, and drummer Peter Costa-recorded their self-financed debut EP, After Dark, while they were still in high school.
