In 1985, The Nashville Network began airing an edited half-hour version of the program as Grand Ole Opry Live ; the show moved to Country Music Television and CMT Canada in 2001 ( expanding to an hour in the process ), and then to the Great American Country ( GAC ) cable network in 2003.

Edward Lewis Gaylord ( May 28, 1919 – April 27, 2003 ) was an American billionaire businessman and media mogul who built the Gaylord Entertainment Company empire that included The Oklahoman newspaper, Oklahoma Publishing Co., Gaylord Hotels, the Nashville Network TV Channel ( later renamed " SpikeTV " after being sold off ); the Grand Ole Opry, and the Country Music Television Channel ( CMT ) as well as now defunct and bankrupt airline, Western Pacific Airlines.

The club gained promotion to the top league for the third time in 2003 just to be demoted directly, somewhat ironically since it came after the Trelleborg board hired the dane Ole Mørk who was supposed to change the Trelleborg style of play into a more attractive short-passing game.
