Each July, the city hosts the 10, 000 Lakes Festival, a large music festival with past acts including The Dave Matthews Band, Widespread Panic, Phil Lesh, The String Cheese Incident, Trey Anastasio, The Black Crowes, the Allman Brothers, Ratdog, and others.

Adams befriended Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, after first meeting him at the Jammys awards in New York in 2005.

* Phil Lesh and Friends ( commonly referred to as Phil Lesh and Phriends ) in 1999 featured Phish's Trey Anastasio and Page McConnell, Grateful Dead members Phil Lesh and Donna Jean Godchaux, guitarist Steve Kimock, and drummer John Molo performing three nights of Dead and Phish material at The Warfield in San Francisco.

* A quartet consisting of the Benevento / Russo Duo, Gordon and Anastasio traded opening and closing spots with Phil Lesh and Friends during their co-headlining summer 2006 tour before touring on their own for a number of shows in July 2006.

The Other Ones was an American rock band formed in 1998 by former Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, and Mickey Hart, along with part-time Grateful Dead collaborator Bruce Hornsby.

In 2000, Bill Kreutzmann, another Grateful Dead alumnus, joined the group, while Phil Lesh dropped out.

Around this time Phil Lesh joined, and they became the Grateful Dead.

" Hunter also collaborated as a lyricist with the other voices in the Dead, Bob Weir, Phil Lesh, and Ron " Pigpen " McKernan, although over time Weir, the other principal songwriter besides Garcia, switched to using John Perry Barlow as a lyricist.

John Scofield ( born December 26, 1951, Dayton, Ohio ), often referred to as " Sco ", is an American jazz-rock guitarist and composer, who has played and collaborated with Miles Davis, Dave Liebman, Joe Henderson, Charles Mingus, Joey Defrancesco, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, Bill Frisell, Pat Martino, Mavis Staples, Phil Lesh, Billy Cobham, Medeski Martin & Wood, George Duke, Jaco Pastorius, John Mayer, and many other well-known artists.

After sitting in for two engagements in December ( 3rd & 4th ) of 2005 with Phil Lesh and Friends, Scofield has since played numerous shows with the band.

He also sang backing vocals on Arcadia's single " The Promise ", and on two songs from Phil Collins ' album No Jacket Required.

His mother, Joanna ( née Winkleman ), sang briefly with Phil Spitalny's All-Girl Orchestra, and his father, Raymond Albert Hulce, worked for the Ford Motor Company.

In these Van Beuren Studios shorts, Felix spoke and sang in a high pitched childlike voice provided by Walter Tetley, a popular radio actor in the 1930s and 1940s (" Julius " on the The Phil Harris-Alice Faye Show, and " Leroy " on The Great Gildersleeve, however best known later in the 1960s as the voice of Sherman on the Bullwinkle Shows Mister Peabody segments.

In 2005, the remaining members reunited for a benefit concert for victims of the December 26, 2004 tsunami, with several vocalists filling in for Staley, including Patrick Lachman from Damageplan, Phil Anselmo of Pantera and Down fame, Wes Scantlin from Puddle of Mudd, Maynard James Keenan from Tool ( a friend of Staley's ), and Ann Wilson from Heart, who had previously worked with Alice in Chains when she sang on the Sap EP ( performing backing vocals on the songs " Brother " and " Am I Inside ").

Ms. Ray sang with major orchestras such as those of Tommy Dorsey and Phil Harris, and acted in more than a dozen films.

In 1981, Chanter was part of a chorus that sang at The Secret Policeman's Ball with other chorus members including Phil Collins, Donovan, Sheena Easton, Bob Geldof, Midge Ure and Tom Robinson.

The character and themes from the comic strip Little Nemo were used in a song " Scenes from a Night's Dream " written by Phil Collins and Tony Banks of the progressive rock group Genesis on their 1978 recording, ... Another progressive rock group, from Germany, called Scara Brae also recorded a musical impression of the comic on their rare self titled disc from 1981 ( the track was actually recorded 2 years earlier ).

Baez has had a popular hit song with " Diamonds & Rust " and hit covers of Phil Ochs's " There but for Fortune " and The Band's " The Night They Drove Old Dixie Down ".

Haley and his Comets began performing the song on stage ( Comets bass player Marshall Lytle and drummer Dick Richards say the first performances were in Wildwood, New Jersey at Phil and Eddie's Surf Club ), but Dave Miller, his producer, refused to allow Haley to record it for his Essex Records label ( Swenson suggests a feud existed between Myers and Miller ).

" Parry was concerned that the album did not have a hit song for radio play and instructed Smith and producer Phil Thornalley to polish the track " The Hanging Garden " for release as a single.

1984's Celebrate This Heartbeat teamed Stonehill with longtime friend Phil Keaggy for the song Who Will Save The Children?

He performed the hit song " I Wanna Be Like You " on the soundtrack, leading to the recording of two albums with Phil Harris: The Jungle Book and More Jungle Book, on Disneyland Records.
