Searchers canvassed all of West Memphis, but focused primarily on Robin Hood Hills, where the boys were reported last seen.

According to local West Memphis police officers, on the evening of May 5, 1993, at 8: 42 p. m., workers in the Bojangles ' restaurant about a mile from the crime scene in Robin Hood Hills reported seeing a black male who seemed " mentally disoriented " inside the ladies ' room of the restaurant.

One recent scholar, Robin Bush, even argued that the Jutes of Hampshire and the Isle of Wight became victims of a policy of ethnic cleansing by the West Saxons, although this has been the subject of debate amongst academics, with the counter-claim that only the aristocracy might have been wiped out.

His grave has been claimed to be at Kirklees Priory near Mirfield in West Yorkshire, as implied by the 18th-century version of Robin Hood's Death, and there is a headstone there of dubious authenticity.

Robin Hood himself was once thought to have been buried in the grounds of Kirklees Priory between Brighouse and Mirfield in West Yorkshire, although for the reasons given above this theory has now largely been abandoned.

Further indications of the legend's connection with West Yorkshire ( and particularly Calderdale ) are noted in the fact that there are pubs called the Robin Hood in both nearby Brighouse and at Cragg Vale ; higher up in the Pennines beyond Halifax, where Robin Hood Rocks can also be found.

Robin Hood Hill is near Outwood, West Yorkshire, not far from Lofthouse.

There is a village in West Yorkshire called Robin Hood, on the A61 between Leeds and Wakefield and close to Rothwell and Lofthouse.

Considering these references to Robin Hood, it is not surprising that the people of both South and West Yorkshire lay some claim to Robin Hood, who, if he existed, could easily have roamed between Nottingham, Lincoln, Doncaster and right into West Yorkshire.

Paradise Lost 2: Revelations is the 2000 sequel to the documentary film Paradise Lost: The Child Murders at Robin Hood Hills, about the trial and conviction of three teenagers known as the West Memphis Three accused of murdering three young boys in a Satanic ritual abuse.

Two more sequels were produced: Paradise Lost 3: Purgatory, which was initially scheduled for a fall 2011 release, but was pushed back until January 2012 after the West Memphis Three were released from prison while the film was in post-production, requiring new material to be added, and West of Memphis, which was released at the Sundance Film Festival days after Paradise Lost 3 aired on HBO and, based on new evidence, implicates a new suspect in the murders at Robin Hood Hills.
