Domestic flights are operated using Fokker 50, Saab 340, Airbus 319 and Bombardier Q400 aircraft.

The last civilian models made by Saab were the Saab 340 and Saab 2000.

Some commercial aircraft with turboprop engines include the Bombardier Dash 8, ATR 42, ATR 72, BAe Jetstream 31, Embraer EMB 120 Brasilia, Fairchild Swearingen Metroliner, Saab 340 and 2000, Xian MA60, Xian MA600, and Xian MA700, Fokker 27, 50 and 60.

Typical aircraft in this category include the Bombardier CRJ and Embraer ERJ regional jets along with the " Q " ( DASH-8 ) series, ATR 42 / 72 and Saab 340 / 2000 turboprop airliners.

Many airliners have also been modified for government use as VIP transports and for military functions such as airborne tankers ( for example, the Vickers VC10, Lockheed L1011, Boeing 707 ), air ambulance ( USAF / USN McDonnell Douglas DC-9 ), reconnaissance ( Embraer ERJ 145, Saab 340, Boeing 737 ), as well as for troop-carrying roles.

Peninsula Airways provides regularly scheduled flights to Anchorage using Saab 340 turboprop aircraft.

Lithuanian Airlines ( branded later as FlyLAL ) was established as the Lithuanian flag carrier following independence in 1991 and inherited the Vilnius-based Aeroflot fleet of Tupolev Tu-134, Yakovlev Yak-40, Yak-42 and Antonov An-24, An-26 aircraft, but rapidly replaced these Soviet-era aircraft types with modern Boeing 737 and Boeing 757 jets and Saab 340, Saab 2000 turboprops.

Operations started on 1 October 1995 with the arrival of the first Air Baltic aircraft, a Saab 340, at Riga, and that afternoon, the plane made the first passenger flight for Air Baltic.

The Fokker F70, BAe Jetstream 41, Saab 340 and Saab 2000 also have approval for scheduled operations at the airport.

The Fina Air fleet of 3 Saab 340 aircraft have been purchased by an aircraft leasing company and were later operated by RegionsAir as Continental Connection, flying out of Cleveland.

Mainline service ended soon after, and US Airways Express assumed the Pittsburgh flights using the Beech 1900 and Saab 340 aircraft.

Although little is known about the design at this time those who have seen it report it is the same teardrop shape as the 1949 – 1956 Saab 92, but also futuristic with the front similar to the new Saab 9-5.

However, in 1960 Erik Carlsson of Sweden drove his Saab 96 to a hat-trick of victories in 1960 – 62, and of the six drivers to have won three or more titles since then, all but three-Colin McRae ( 1994, ' 95, ' 97 ), Richard Burns ( 1998 – 2000 ), and Sébastien Loeb ( 2008 – 10 )-have been Swedes, Finns or Norwegians.
