Yu directed the Fear Itself episode, " Family Man " which starred Clifton Collins Jr .. Yu also appeared in the A Nightmare on Elm Street documentary Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy.

In 2005 the band performed on the Never Sleep Again Tour with bands such as Aiden, Hawthorne Heights and Bayside — a tour during which Bayside's drummer John " Beatz " Holohan was then killed in a road accident.

Discovering the Waterfront was re-released in September 2006 with an extra song, the band's cover of Lifetime's " Rodeo Clown " and a DVD including music videos, a making of featurette and a live set from the Never Sleep Again Tour, in Chicago.

Not all of the bands mentioned, however, ended up joining Hawthorne Heights for the 2009 Never Sleep Again tour.

After the Never Sleep Again 2009 tour, frontman JT began performing several solo acoustic shows with songs he had written outside of Hawthorne Heights.

Bundy appeared in Daniel Farrands documentary film Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy.

He saved up money for some studio time and recorded and handful of tracks including " You'll Never Sleep Tonight " which was played by John Peel on BBC Radio 1 and gained the attention of London label Food Records, who signed Johnny in 1992.
