Edward Reginald Noble ( June 23, 1895 – January 19, 1962 ) of Collingwood, Ontario was a Canadian professional ice hockey forward and defenceman who played 17 professional seasons in the National Hockey Association ( NHA ) and National Hockey League ( NHL ) for the Toronto Blueshirts, Montreal Canadiens, Toronto St. Pats, Montreal Maroons, Detroit Cougars, Detroit Falcons and Detroit Red Wings.

After the Jets decided to remain in New Jersey, the proposed stadium was also discussed as a potential new home for the St. Louis football Cardinals, Atlanta Falcons, and New Jersey Generals.

The St. Catharines Teepees were born in 1947 when local businessman George Stauffer, president and GM of Thompson Products Ltd., purchased the St. Catharines Falcons team for $ 2500 from Rudy Pilous and named the team after the company's initials.

The St. Catharines Falcons were a junior ice hockey team in the Ontario Hockey Association from 1943 to 1947.
