Sweetwater elementary which was another feeder school closed at the end of the 2009 school year and Snow Creek Elementary opened in the 2009-2010.

They reported their find to Dr. W. J. Cameron and W. E. Michael of Sweetwater, who were the current owners of the cave.

This year witnessed the addition of African American players by several teams, including Chuck Cooper with the Celtics, Nathaniel " Sweetwater " Clifton with the Knicks, and Earl Lloyd with the Washington Capitols.

From there it followed the Sweetwater River, passing Independence Rock, Devil's Gate, and Split Rock, to Fort Caspar, through South Pass to Fort Bridger and then down to Salt Lake City.

The party continued east via the Sweetwater River, North Platte River ( where they spent the winter of 1812 – 1813 ) and Platte River to the Missouri River, finally arriving in St. Louis in the spring of 1813.

In fall of 1823, Jedediah Smith and Thomas Fitzpatrick led their trapping crew south from the Yellowstone River to the Sweetwater River.

Smith reasoned since the Sweetwater flowed east it must eventually run into the Missouri River.

Trying to transport their extensive fur collection down the Sweetwater and North Platte River, they found after a near disastrous canoe crash that the rivers were too swift and rough for water passage.

" In 1830, William Sublette brought the first wagons carrying his trading goods up the Platte, North Platte, and Sweetwater River ( Wyoming ) before crossing over South Pass to a fur trade rendezvous on the Green River near the future town of Big Piney, Wyoming.

Captain Benjamin Bonneville on his expedition of 1832 to 1834 explored much of the Oregon trail and brought wagons up the Platte, North Platte, Sweetwater route across South Pass to the Green River in Wyoming.

As the North Platte veers to the south the trail crosses the North Platte to the Sweetwater River valley which heads almost due west.

Independence Rock ( Wyoming ) is located on the Sweetwater River.

The Sweetwater would have to be crossed up to nine times before the trail crosses over the Continental Divide at South Pass, Wyoming.

Sometimes they settled in the Owl Creek Mountains, Bridger Mountains and along the Sweetwater River in the south.

The county is divided into six townships: Brasstown comprises the westernmost township, Hayesville is centrally located and home to the county seat, Hiawassee is the smallest and surrounds Lake Chatuge, Shooting Creek is the easternmost township, Sweetwater is a small township northwest of Hayesville Township, and Tusquittee, one of the larger townships and most northern.

Devers was born in Seattle, Washington, and grew up near National City, California and graduated from Sweetwater High School in 1984.

Johnson County was created on December 8, 1875 as Pease County from parts of Albany, Carbon, and Sweetwater Counties.

Sweetwater County is a county located in the U. S. state of Wyoming.

Sweetwater County was originally created on December 17, 1867 as a county within the Dakota Territory.

Carter of Fort Bridger In 1869, the newly established legislature of the Wyoming Territory renamed the county for the Sweetwater River.

The largest county in Wyoming, Sweetwater County is larger than six states and is the eighth largest county nationwide ( not including boroughs and census areas in Alaska ).

In late 1867, Laramie County lost territory when Sweetwater County was created.

Fremont County was created on March 5, 1884 by the legislature of the Wyoming Territory The county was created with land ceded by Sweetwater County.

It is the second largest county in land size ( after Sweetwater County, WY ) in the six Rocky Mountain States.

* Chaffee Trail Elementary located off of Chaffee Road in Jacksonville, Florida, opened in July 2007.

Wellfleet Elementary School is located just off of Route 6 near the town center, and serves students from kindergarten to fifth grade.

All 3 of these buildings are located on one Wrentham Elementary School campus located off of Taunton St & Randall Rd in the center of Wrentham.

The fourth school in the Central Cambria School District, Jackson Elementary, is located about west of the borough, off of Route 22.

McKean attractions include the Country Fair gas station, the McKean Elementary School playground, and the pet cemetery found off of Rick Road.

Walker Elementary is located in the Heartland subdivision off of I-20 at FM 741.

Muddy Brook Regional Elementary School offers pre-kindergarten through fourth grade classes and is located off of Route 7 in the northern part of town.

* Georges Etienne Cartier, Catholic French Elementary School, located in the " Upper Beaches " at 250 Gainsbourough Ave, off Upper Gerrard, East of Coxwell Ave.

Edwards received a Virginia Highway Marker in 2008, erected near Pemberton Elementary School, off Quioccasin Road, in Henrico County.

In response, Principal Skinner decides to close Springfield Elementary due to lack of funds ( having used them to pay off Fat Tony and thus avoid brutal mob reprisals ).

Four elementary schools are locate on the main campus ( Skano, Tesago, Orenda and Karigon. The other four are neighborhood elementary schools including Okte Elementary School which is located on CR-92 Crescent Road off Exit 8 of the Adirondack Northway ( I-87 ), Chango Elementary School which is off CR-80 Round Lake Road at Exit 11 of the Adirondack Northway ( I-87 ), and Arongen and Shatekon elementary schools, which are both located just off the main campus.

* Cuddebackville: Orange County has developed a county park along the Neversink here, just south of Hamilton Bicentennial Elementary School off Route 209.
