Polidoro's main paintings include a Crucifixion, painted in Messina, and a Deposition of Christ ( 1527 ) and a Christ Carrying the Cross ( 1530 – 34 ) both in the Museo di Capodimonte of Naples, who have the best collection of his work ( an oil sketch for the latter is in the National Gallery, London ).

He painted in oil a St. Peter for the Chiesa della Croce, St. Theresa for the church of the Trinity, both in Turin, and a Deposition for the church of San Gaudenzio at Novara.

In 1447 he worked in the refectory of Sant ' Apollonia in Florence, painting, in the lower part, Last Supper fresco, accompanied by other scenes portraying the Deposition, Resurrection, and Crucifixion, which are now damaged.

The painting of the vault has disappeared but in the chapel can still be seen the Four Evangelists in the pendentives and two of the greatest masterpieces by Pontormo: the Virgin and the Angel Gabriel on the side wall and the altarpiece of the Deposition above the end altar.

The third chapel has a Deposition by Andrea Camassei and a Stigmatization of Saint Francis ( c. 1570 ) by Girolamo Muziano.
