Heller House, Charles Hitchcock Hall, Hotel Del Prado, Hotel Windermere East, Frank R. Lillie House, Robert A. Millikan House, Poinsettia Apartments, Promontory Apartments, Frederick C. Robie House, George Herbert Jones Laboratory, St. Thomas Church and Convent, Shoreland Hotel, German submarine U-505, and University Apartments.

* May 10 is Golden Spike Day ( 1869 – Completion of the First Transcontinental Railroad – Promontory Summit, Utah )

* 1869 – The First Transcontinental Railroad, linking the eastern and western United States, is completed at Promontory Summit, Utah ( not Promontory Point, Utah ) with the golden spike.

* Southernmost Point – South Point, Wilsons Promontory, Victoria ( 39 ° 08 ' S )

* March 8 – The Southern Pacific Railroad opens the Lucin Cutoff across the Great Salt Lake, bypassing Promontory, UT for the railroad's mainline.

* September 2 – Robert R. Dowty, construction foreman for the replica Jupiter and 119 steam locomotives at the Golden Spike National Historic Site at Promontory, Utah ( b. 1923 ).

Roman Four Promontory is located at and has an elevation of 830 m. Roman Four Promontory was first charted by the British Graham Land Expedition ( BGLE ) ( 1934 – 1937 ) under John Riddoch Rymill.

Promontory Point extends out into Lake Michigan at E 55th street, far enough into the lake that it provides spectacular views of both the Downtown Skyline to the north, and the South Chicago and Northwest Indiana skyline to the south.

The 35 and 34 West Cremona apartments, which were remodeled in 2008 – 09 and 2009 – 10, respectively, and the Wesley Apartments at Cremona and Dravus, which were not owned or maintained by SPU but have been staffed by residence life since 2007.

The thirteen community areas for the 2011 – 12 academic year are: Bostwick Hall, Johnson Hall, Babcock Hall, Luter Hall, Collins Hall, South Hall, Palmer / Piccolo Halls, Kitchin Hall, Davis Hall, Poteat / Huffman Halls, Taylor / Efird Halls, Polo / Martin / Roadhouses Area, and the Apartments Area.

On-campus housing options include on-campus apartments ( East Campus Apartments, West Campus Apartments, Edward Gay and Nicholson Apartments ), Annie Boyd Hall, Evangeline Hall, the Engineering Residential College, the Business Residential College, Broussard, Acadian, Beauregard, Blake, Louise Garig, Herget, Highland, Jackson, Kirby Smith ( temporary ), LeJeune, McVoy, Miller, Taylor, East Laville, and West Laville.

Albion College's campus houses 89 % of the students that attend the college in four dormitories ( Wesley Hall, Seaton Hall, Whitehouse Hall, and the Mitchell Towers ), upper-class apartments ( the Mae Harrison Karro Residential Village, Munger Place, the Burns Street Apartments, and the Briton House Apartments ), nine women-only housing options ( Ingham Hall, Fiske Hall, Dean Hall, and six women-only annexes ), one men-only housing option ( 711 Michigan Avenue ), and six fraternity houses.

The Burns Street Apartmens and the Briton House Apartments house mostly Juniors and some Seniors, while The Mae Karro Residential Village ( commonly called " The Mae ") and Munger Place houses Seniors.

A $ 6. 9 million addition to the Middleton Hall of Science is just one in a long string of major construction and landscaping projects since the early 1990s, including Founders Village Apartments, the Middleton wing for Nursing, an enlarged Dining Commons, the Everest-Rohrer Chapel / Fine Arts Center, Wiekamp Athletic Center, Shiloh Prayer Chapel, the campus ponds and waterfall, Morey Soccer Field, Taylor Memorial Chapel, Jenkins Stadium, Sailor Residential Center, Miller / Moore Academic Center, Bethel College Bookstore, and Sufficient Grounds Coffee House.

The Hollys settled in Apartment 4H of the Brevoort Apartments located at 11 Fifth Avenue in Greenwich Village.

Other residents of the Oxford Apartments complex noticed terrible smells coming from Apartment 213, as well as the thumps of falling objects and the occasional buzzing of a power saw.
