Also with SF-based musician Jonah Sharp and Haruomi Hosono of Yellow Magic Orchestra he made the album Quiet Logic for the Japanese label Daisyworld.

According to former stage manager David Blayney ( 15 years with ZZ Top ) in his book, Sharp Dressed Men, sound engineer Linden Hudson co-wrote much of the material on the album as a live-in high-tech music teacher to Beard and Gibbons.

The album was originally slated for release in the summer of 1967, but the record label opted to scrap the planned cover and repackage it with a new psychedelic cover, designed by artist Martin Sharp, and the resulting changes delayed its release for several months.

In 2011, the Kale / Peterson led Guess Who went back into the studio to record three new original songs, written by Derek Sharp, to be part of an upcoming as-yet-unnamed album.

David Blayney, in his book " Sharp Dressed Men " explains that Linden Hudson, recording engineer was involved as a pre-producer on this album.

Sharp continued to work with the band on their next album, The Con, later appearing at a Tegan and Sara concert in 2008 to play bass in a cover of Weezer's " Tired of Sex.

After a slow period in 2005, Sharp contemplated what to do next, considering either a new solo album or starting a new collaborative partnership ( although he didn't state with whom ).

A well-known bootleg called Little Russell Street features many of the demos and early mixes of songs from this album, all original songs by Matt Sharp except " My Head is in the Sun ", co-written by Weezer lead singer Rivers Cuomo.

Further additions to the fluid line-up during the late 80s included Neil Yates ( trumpet ), Lorna Bailey ( vocals ), John Hart ( trombone ), Gavin Sharp ( tenor saxophone ), and Alton Zebby ( drums ), all of whom made their début on the second album Two Step To Heaven ( 1989 ).

The line-up stayed the same during the first half of 1995, during which time Agathocles recorded their album Razor Sharp Daggers, as well as featuring on the compilation Metalopolis, which was released by the Belgian radio station Studio Brussel.

Sharp had an excellent bass voice, described by George III as " the best in Britain ", and he played the clarinet, oboe, flageolet, kettle drums, harp and a double-flute which he had made himself.

In his view the small hamlets of less than 300 people from which Sharp collected were actually centers of the " urban proletariat ", whom Sharp had misrepresented as ( agrarian ) " folk ".
