The Cerros de Escazú borders the Central Valley to the south and is considered the northernmost portion of the Cordillera de Talamanca.

The northern Luzon highlands, or Cordillera Central, rise to between 2, 500 and 2, 750 meters, and, together with the Sierra Madre in the northeastern portion of Luzon and the mountains of Mindanao, boast rain forests that provide refuge for numerous upland tribal groups.

A substantial portion of the town is part of the White Mountain National Forest, including Cherry Mountain (" Mount Martha ", at above sea level ), which is traversed by the Cohos Trail ; and part of the Dartmouth Range, which contains Mount Deception, the summit of which at is the highest point in town.

The northern and southern parts of Randolph are within the White Mountain National Forest and the Ice Gulch Town Forest, while the central part is the settled portion of town.
