While " Traded " or " Update " sets were originally conceived to deal with players who changed teams, they became increasingly important for another reason.
Before coming up with the idea of a " Traded " set, the company still tried to produce cards of players with their new team if they changed teams in the offseason.
The " Traded " set was issued in factory form, featured players that traded teams and card numbers began with a T prefix.
