Yorn appears on Canadian artist Matthew Good's 2009 album Vancouver performing backing vocals.
The band was originally going to go with another name (" Snowaxe " and " Gandalf " have been mentioned by Matthew Good ), however a radio station in Vancouver played " Alabama Motel Room " and announced the band as the Matthew Good Band, at which point it stuck.

In July 2008, Good announced he had begun working on his fourth solo album to be titled Vancouver.
After entering the studio in early 2009 to record Vancouver, Good confirmed that he had re-signed with Universal Music Canada and the new album would not be an indie release.
Nominated for " Rock Album of the Year " at the 2011 Juno Awards, Vancouver beat out Bears, Mayors, Scraps & Bones ( Cancer Bats ), Fino + Bleed ( Die Mannequin ), Life Turns Electric ( Finger Eleven ) and Population Declining ( Hail the Villain ), marking the second time Good won the award.
Good, whose family background is English, was born in Burnaby, British Columbia, and grew up in Coquitlam – both suburbs of Vancouver.

FYULABA is an album by Vancouver, British Columbia punk rock band SNFU.
After a gig on Vancouver Island was erroneously billed as " Eavesdroppings ", the band opted to change its name to Spirit of the West, and independently released a self-titled album in 1984 before signing to Stony Plain Records, a roots music label based in Edmonton, Alberta.
