The controversy further escalated on April 30, 2010, when The Weather Channel went ahead with airing the 1992 film Wind ( a film about yachting that had little to do with weather, contrary to its name ) at the same time a tornado outbreak was occurring in Missouri and Arkansas.

Tycobrahe Sound Company combined the touring systems of Black Oak Arkansas, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Earth Wind and Fire, and Rare Earth ( each manufactured by Tycobrahe ), plus 16-ft bass horns from Phoenix Sound and several folded bass horns from Flag Systems.

Cal Jam attracted over 250, 000 fans, and the band appeared alongside 70's rock giants Black Sabbath, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Deep Purple, Earth, Wind & Fire, Seals & Crofts, Black Oak Arkansas and the Eagles.

The performers included ( in order of appearance ) Rare Earth, Earth, Wind & Fire, Eagles, Seals and Crofts, Black Oak Arkansas, Black Sabbath, Deep Purple and Emerson, Lake & Palmer.

Attracting over 200, 000 fans, the concert put them alongside ' 70s acts such as Black Sabbath, Eagles, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Deep Purple, Earth, Wind & Fire, Black Oak Arkansas, and Rare Earth.

* February 3 – Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Harold Macmillan makes the Wind of Change speech to the South African Parliament in Cape Town ( although he had first made the speech, to little publicity, in Accra, Gold Coast – now Ghana – on January 10 ).

In 1960, Prime Minister Harold Macmillan made his important Wind of Change speech to the Parliament of South Africa in Cape Town.

The Town of Marshfield is the site of the large industrial wind factory installation ( wind farm ) called the Blue Sky Green Field Wind Farm, along with neighboring Town of Calumet.

In 1982, Marrow met producer William Strong from Saturn Records, who recorded his first single, " Cold Wind Madness ", also known as " The Coldest Rap ", which became an underground success, becoming popular even though radio stations did not play it due to the song's hardcore lyrics.

Fantasy Records released " Samba de Orpheus " as a single, trying to catch the building bossa nova wave, but it was destined to sink without a trace when radio DJs began flipping it over and playing the B-side, Guaraldi's " Cast Your Fate to the Wind ".

Interpretations: Celebrating the Music of Earth, Wind & Fire, which is a cover album of EWF's material, was released on Stax Records on March 27, 2007.

In 1972, Davis also signed Earth, Wind & Fire to Columbia Records.
