Peter Tosh ( born Winston Hubert McIntosh, 19 October 1944 – 11 September 1987 ), was a Jamaican reggae musician who was a core member of the band The Wailers ( 1963 – 1974 ), and who afterwards had a successful solo career as well as being a promoter of Rastafari.

Shortly thereafter, Jimmy Winston was released from the band because of a clash of personalities with the rest of the group and a lack of musical talent.

In a 2000 interview, Kenney Jones stated the reason Winston was fired from the band was because " He ( Winston ) got above his station and tried to compete with Steve Marriott.

Winston was replaced by Ian McLagan, whose keyboard talents and diminutive stature fit with the groove of the band perfectly.

Buster reformed the band with original members Louis Alphonso, Martin Stewart and Winston Bazoomies.

Buster Bloodvessel is the only original member left in Bad Manners, but the harmonica player, Winston Bazoomies, is an ' honorary member ' of the band and he has a Facebook fanpage set up in his honour and he currently lives in North London.
